To say that Himari felt like she'd reached an ecstatic peak in her new life would be a massive understatement. The brunette enjoyed the time she'd been granted to spend on cloud nine while she was still trying to wrap her head around the fact that the coin with her face on it, flipped by the gods of destiny, finally seemed to have landed on the right side.

Yet, an annoying voice in her head permanently urged her to stay alarmed and not entirely trust the high she was currently living on. Up until now, the times she'd considered as happy and carefree had sooner or later turned out to be some sort of calm before the storm. A storm she didn't want to brave anymore. It was tiresome.

That's why she decided to go with the flow, and with the upcoming U.A. Sports Festival, a lot of work to catch up, and what seemed to be the revival of her love life, Himari found herself busy from dawn to dusk and the days started to flow into each other.

Even though Sunday morning had started out with a huge misunderstanding, the rest of the day passed quickly, way too quickly if you'd ask Himari for her opinion. After their enlightening conversation under the oak outside of the cemetery, they'd snatched breakfast from the closest bakery they'd found and returned to the safety of Himari's house.

Devouring everything at a record time and washing it down with what average Joe would call an unholy amount of black coffee, the two sleep-deprived teachers agreed on returning to the bed upstairs, where they caught up on the sleep they'd missed out on at night.

Waking up from their nap more wrecked than before, it had been resolved that they'd spend the rest of the day in bed. Until Aizawa had to leave for his night patrol, they cuddled and talked about everything they could think of, attempting to realize their principle of no more secrets.

What started out as a light-hearted discussion about the fact that there were a lot of things they didn't know about each other yet soon evolved into a cross-examination.

Childhood. Parents. Friends. School. Hobbies. Interests. Where the hell does Aizawa even live?!

And when the superficial topics were covered, they shifted to the darker chapters of their respective pasts, both giving each other their undivided attention as they opened up.

Kaito Ishihara. Oboro Shirakumo. Two names. Two people. Gone. From one day to another. Unjust.

Even though Himari had a hard time in the beginning, it didn't take her long to proceed to talk a mile a minute. The brunette almost delivered a biography of her life, whereas Aizawa remained minimalistic with his remarks, using as little words as possible to answer her questions. Yet, he couldn't suppress a smile from creeping on his face as the woman whose head was resting on his chest almost forgot to breathe during her narration.

After hearing everything there was to know about Aizawa's past, everything started to make perfect sense for Himari. The man behind the sober and neutral demeanour. The man seemingly trying to distance himself from everything related to emotions. She'd been right with her assumption. He'd been hurt. He'd been crushed. This was his defence mechanism to prevent something like that from happening again. He didn't want the past to repeat itself. And it was perfectly reasonable for her.

But Himari found herself struggling as her eyes landed on the clock and she realized how quickly the time had passed in his presence. On the one hand, she'd love to spend the entire day with him, more than ready to selfishly claim the rest of his spare time for herself, but his brief encounter with Hizashi was haunting her mind, not allowing her to pull through with her plans.

Reluctantly she'd urged him to leave earlier and squeeze in a meeting with Hizashi to bring things out into the open and clear up the obvious misunderstandings that were currently standing between them.
