Tendou made the still indignant Ume hop on the bus connecting to the city's training center. By the time they took seats Ume was already getting impatient to hear what had exactly happened.

Her precious invisibility at school was being threatened. She was going to attract so much attention now. Just thinking about it made her want to bang her head against the wall. But as of now, she couldn't do anything. She turned towards Tendou.

"So? What's this all about?" She asked with a  expectant look.

"So..umm, a guy at school confessed to that girl Wakatoshi kun likes." Tendou began.

"She accepted?" Ume asked with widened eyes.

"No, god no. It gets a bit complicated. She... like, I'm not sure, she turned him down. But she also said that she already had somebody in her heart. It's a guy from another school." Tendou let out a tired sigh. Ume could hazard a guess as to why. Tendou too seemed jaded as he recounted.

"And then I turn to see Wakatoshi kun fuming. He said he himself didn't know why he was so angry. To be honest, I was scared to see him show so much emotion. My brain might have kind of short circuited." He flailed his arms.

"I thought it won't do to let him be by himself at school, what with the state he was in. So I dropped him off to the training center with a boxing bag and came to get you." He ventured.

Ume groaned. This was troublesome. If even Tendou dude did not know how to deal with Ushiwaka how was she supposed to? All she had done was tell Ushiwaka some very obvious bits and pieces about having a crush. But Tendou somehow had to come all the way to her school. And now she had to help with the situation.

When they reached the training center they saw Ushiwaka, still in his school uniform, furiously punching away at the boxing bag.

"That boxing bag was a damn good idea." Ume complimented pointing at it.

"I know right?" Tendou smiled with hands in his pocket.

" Yeah, maybe it'll let him steam off. Makes it easier for us to deal with him later." Ume replied.

"Let's go and stand at the side, I don't think he's finishing anytime soon. You okay with waiting?" Tendou asked. Ume nodded in response.

"What was this girl's name again?" Ume questioned.

"Oh, you mean Sumire-chan? Here I've even got a photo of her." Tendou took out his phone excited. Ume saw the picture of a blonde girl smiling at the camera. It was very obviously taken from one of those photos on club forms. Ume's lips pressed into a thin line.

"Tendou kun, please tell me you've not been stalking her on Ushiwaka's behalf." She asked exasperated.

"What?! No! This was a one time thing. I happened to come across it when I had detention in the student council room one time."

"As weird as I can get, Wakatoshi kun is on a whole other level when he stares at that girl." Tendou defended quickly.

"And what are your opinions about this girl, what's her name, yeah- Sumire chan?" Ume asked with interest.

Ushiwaka always had the nicest things to say about her, being the lovestruck fool he was. She had always wanted to hear a view from a neutral standpoint.

"To be honest." Tendou stared at his feet. "I don't even know why, but I don't like her all that much."

"Oh?" Ume was caught off-guard. That was anti climactic. She'd imagined the girl that THE  Ushiwaka liked to be the goddess of perfection or something. He didn't seem the type to go for second rate things.

"I mean she's popular with everyone at school. But I just can't seem to muster that sentiment for her." Tendou piped. Ume shrugged.

In retrospect, everyone had their own views. It wasn't possible for a person to be liked by everybody. What a stupid thought.

She and Tendou started leaning against the wall since Ushiwaka seemed to show no signs of tiring. Then they decided to sit down. They returned from a convenience store with water bottles and Ushiwaka was still not done.

They had had many rounds of thumb fights already when Ushiwaka finally gave an angry growl and punched the bag one last time. He wiped sweat from his forehead as he walked towards them and slumped down against the wall.

Tendou handed him a water bottle. He drank it greedily. Finally he leaned his head against the wall and stared at the ceiling.

"Better?" Tendou asked carefully.

"Better."

Tendou looked at Ume with no idea of what to do next. Ume signalled him to let the boy catch his breath. When Ushiwaka finally looked back at them with his usual stoic face. Ume could tell that his eyes held a lot of hurt. Having your first heart break without even realising what it was, must be painful.

"Chest hurts." Ushiwaka heaved.

"I know." For the first time, Ume too felt sad for him. "I know it does."
