Please read the A/N at the end.
Since its been a long long time since I updated last, here's a quick recap of the events of the last few chapters: Rohan and Ishika have left their differences behind and are back to being what they always were - best friends. Rohan has realised one thing that how much ever he wants, his equation with his Ishu will never be anything beyond friendship. And he's now ready and trying to accept this reality. But just then, our 'Ishu' makes a very surprising statement; "But what if now, I don't want to be Just Friends?"
Now that's a huge statement to make! Does this mean even she's developing some feelings for Rohan or is it this again some of her silly game?
Happy Reading!
Rohan's POV:
What was it that just happened? Shit! D-did she just say what I heard? Or am I dreaming? And why did she even say that? D-does this mean, she... She likes me?
Aah! Chuck it Rohan! Don't get your hopes high. Thats's just not possible. Just a moment is all it took for the realization of the real situation to sink in. Of course she was kidding. She could never be serious about this and I know it. I scolded myself for believing what she said, even for a fraction of a second , when I already know she didn't even mean it. But then, she already knows what I feel about her, then why did she have to do this to me?
I tried hard to contain the sting that my heart was feeling by the false ray of hope that she showed me. My hands themselves balled into a fist in hurt, or frustration if you call it, as I gulped real hard and headed straight back home.
Next Day:
We didn't have a match today of our team so I knew Ishu wasn't coming today. I didn't feel the need to call her and ask if she was coming. In fact, I haven't had a word with her since yesterday. After freshening up, I headed straight to college.
We have our important semifinal match tomorrow, so we had decided to practice today the whole day. Every team was now putting their best foot forward and we too, have to be ready for giving them tough competition. Moreover, our college is hosting the tournament this year so there's no way we're going to let any other team to win the trophy.
We're all geared up now to give our best and tomorrow, is going to be a big big day for us.

"Come down after 10 minutes." I read the Whatsapp message I just received, while I was resting on my recliner after dinner.
"Not today Ishu. I'm very tired." I replied. Internally, apart from being tired, I was still a little upset with her over yesterday's issue. But again, I decided to gulp it down and not tell her anything about it. Maybe she didn't think much about it before saying.
"Aree yaar! Come na! At least for 10-15 minutes?"
I thought for a while, but my body refused to cooperate. "My body's aching Ishu. And I need to rest also. You know na we have our semifinals tomorrow."
"Uh-oh! :("
I smiled seeing that sad smiley face she added in the message. I knew exactly why it was there. Almost immediately, another message popped;
