God! I overslept! Why does it have to be today when I have a presentation to do?
I entered the building where my first class is located and ran like my life depended on it. I'm almost there!
As I rounded the corner, the bell tower chimed, signaling for the end and in my case, the start of a class. But then, I saw him in the middle of the hallway, walking towards me. I mean his class! He's walking towards his class! Why would I assume that he's walking towards me? The point is Aiden Carter is there! I could finally ask him in person if he's the one from a year ago.
I doubled my steps walking straight at him. When I reached him, I greeted him good morning but he was just looking at me.
"Excuse me? Hello?" I waved my hand in front of his face. He closed his eyes for a second and looked at me again.
"Yes? How may I help you?"
There you go! I thought he's not gonna talk to me.
"My name is-"
"Daina." he interrupted.
"What?" I raised my eyebrows.
He's not wrong though. That's certainly my name but I don't go by that name. I don't use Daina because people tend to mispronounce it as Dī-na like long i instead of Dā-na like long a. Aside from that, others called me Diana. That's a totally different name! And that's not me, it's my mom!
But then again, he pronounced it correctly. I'm impressed.
"I said it's a busy DAY. I have to go." he started walking away.
Okay... that was weird. Did I hear it all wrong after all? Am I still asleep? Maybe? Maybe not?
"Wait!" I lightly grabbed his arm before he could go far away. "I just want to ask you a few questions." and he just raised his eyebrows. Can't he talk?
"Right! As I was saying, I'm Ada. I mean I'm Aria. That's both my name but not my full name." Okay. I'm messing this up! I slammed both my hands on my cheeks. Maybe I really am asleep! Get a grip, Ada!
"Sorry about that. You can call me whatever you want. Both work fine. By the way, I'm Clementine's friend. She's the girlfriend of your friend and bandmate, Mark."
I was in the middle of explaining things when he cut me off. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to be rude but aren't you late for class? Because now, I sure am."
Oh shit! I think my eyeballs just dropped upon hearing what he said.
"That's what I thought." then he smirked. "If you still want some answers to your questions, come find me later." he walked away.
I started walking in the other direction, too. But my head told my feet to stop. The one I'm looking for might be him, I can't afford to lose another opportunity to find him. So I turned around and yelled,
