Clem went on a date with Mark. Macy, Miku, and Wes totally went missing in action since this morning so I did not have anyone to eat with me. I pulled out my phone and texted Aiden.
Me: Are you free right now?
He instantly replied.
Aiden: for you? Always ;)
I was about to ask him if he could eat with me when another text came in.
Aiden: Meet u @cafeteria in 5.
True to his word, he came running with food in hand.
"Hope you're hungry. I brought your favorites," he said while sitting down beside me and putting a paper bag on the table. He took out the food that was inside one at a time. "We have orange juice, chocolate chips cookies, butterscotch brownies aaaaaand some fresh strawberries."
I stared at him with wide open eyes, "How in the world did you manage to buy all this in just five minutes?"
"Let's just say that you have your secrets and I have mine. Okay? Okay. Let's eat."
He waited for me to eat first before he picked up a cookie and ate it. I let out a low moan at the bite of the crispy, chocolatey cookie chips.
"Damn! That's so good. Thanks for this. Remind me to reward you later." I said, savoring the scrumptious selection in front of me.
I almost choked when he suddenly kissed me on the lips. He grinned, licking his lips. "No need. I just got my reward."
What a sly fox! Not that I am complaining but I did not see that coming!
We were happily eating and planning to go on a date after class when she showed up again.
"Hi, Aiden!" she greeted him, purposefully ignoring me as if I do not even exist.
He swallowed his food first before answering casually, "Hey, Rachelle. What's up? You need anything?"
"Yes! Glad you asked!" she pulled a chair from the other table and sat down beside my boyfriend. Okaaaaaay.
Aiden did not move at all and just patiently waited for her to speak again. That is good.
"I'm actually part of the V. News, our campus paper. I'm a journalist." she paused and leaned on the table before continuing. "Since I'm also a music major, our EIC asked me to cover the news regarding the performance that happened last February 14. Yours especially. A lot of people talked about it even after a week."
"So, what do you want?" Aiden asked.
"A little bit of your time," she said, obviously flirting with him while touching the ends of her blonde hair.
"WHAT?" I blurted out. I think my pitch got a little higher because they both looked at me, Aiden undeniably reading my tone.
"I just want to interview you is all," she said innocently.
