5 years later...

"Can you walk a little bit slower?"

"But we're already walking slower!"

"Then slower than what we're doing, dammit! You know this baby ain't gonna carry itself!"

I threw my head back in laughter, "Right. Sorry. But we need to hurry. The concert is about to start."

After a few more grunting and a lot more cursing, we finally reached the venue and Mark came running to meet us.

"FUCK! Why did we decide to have a baby again?"

I laughed as Mark rubbed his hands on his wife's tummy. Aiden spotted us and gave me a head-spinning kiss.

"Well, hello to you too, sir." I said as I pulled away.

"I thought you won't make it!" he frowned but immediately replaces it with a smile as he noticed Clem who was beside me, having a labored breathing.

"I can't possibly miss out on your concert."

Our conversation was interrupted when a staff member comes running, telling them to go back into their places.

"I'll see you after." Then he learned down, kissing me again before taking off with Mark.

After we graduated, their band was discovered and became known over the country and eventually world-wide. Clem became their road manager but then stopped when they got married and pregnant. I, on the other hand, accepted the teaching position at our university, teaching Literature to college students like us a few years ago but I resigned when Clem and the band convinced me to be their manager instead. I refused at first, telling them that they should hire a professional, except they didn't listen and I finally caved in. I'm still learning the ropes, thankfully, Clem is patient enough to guide me through it.

After three hours, their band performed their last song.

Aiden grabbed the microphone and started speaking. "This song is our very first original. This is where it all started. This is... Crossing Paths."

The whole stadium is filled with the sound coming from Aiden's guitar followed by drums and other instruments. Then his deep voice came after.

That day seems like a dream
If I'm still asleep don't wake me up
Your brown eyes haunt me
With just one look you captivate me

The crowd raised their hands, waving it from left to right. As the song neared its end, even us at the backstage with a few other staff members sang along to Aiden.

Meeting you there is a miracle
Is this destiny or I'm just lucky
I hope to see you again
Wanting to know your name
If this is God's plan
He'll make a way
We will cross each other's path

After their concert, they held a photo-op with some of their fans then we packed up. We said our goodbyes with the staff, his bandmates, and of course, Clem.

"Okay! I'm sure you're starving. Where shall I take you?"

I was about to open the door on the driver's seat when he stopped me. He wagged his finger, smirking, "Not today, baby. I have a surprise for you so take the passenger seat and enjoy the ride."

He opened the passenger door for me and I hopped on. Ever the gentleman. He drove for an hour before reaching our destination. We stopped by a dock, a yacht was waiting for us.

"Shall we?" he said, extending his arm and we walked towards it as I sling my arm with his.

The yacht is decorated with warm lights and candles, the floor is polished and has colorful balloons everywhere. The cushion seats have heart-shaped throw pillows and on the table, a variety of food is laid out.
