CHAPTER XII (KRENSKY)
I reported to Vlad about the tombs. That Romanov is definitely alive. But I did not told Vlad that. He will only be distracted, and knowing him, he would definitely put the finding of the girl a priority. I cannot have that. I pushed Vlad to do this. He was the one that ordered to take the Imperial Family's lives. I simply acted upon on order.
While digging up the graves, the bodies were complete, yes. But upon further assessment, one body did not match the family. Although in bones, the only way to recognize the bodies were the hairs that remained and the pieces of their garments. But then, while everyone from the imperial family had the dark chocolate brown hair, the body only had reddish colored hair.
But the daughters had similar hair color. No one from the family had that kind of hair color. Someone reported that the bodies were accounted but it truly wasn't. I was a fool for not taking a look, and trusted that soldier even tho he did looked nervous. I just thought they were tired.
But to make me look like a fool! How dare he!
I smashed my fists against the table as I was sitting hunched in my office. My anger was spiking. I needed to find the girl, before word gets to Vlad that one of the graves were empty. I have to.
I will deal with this girl myself. I may be the new head of the new regime, but Vladimir still has the power to take it from me.
He will be mad if he found out that I failed.
No. He won't know.
"Yes, he won't ever find out. I just have to take care of the girl, and everything will go accordingly. She was technically already dead, I will just have to do her a favor, and place her where she rightfully belong. Yes."
I stood up from my chair and went to the adjacent table overlooking the square of Moscow. I reached the cup with trembling hands and poured myself some bottled up whiskey and sipped.
"Yes. She will be placed rightfully." I continued to murmur to myself and smiled.
