Annabeth

I had to spend the night in the hospital, but I was let out the next morning.

"Mom I can walk! You don't need to carry me!" I argued as my mom tried to pick me up out of the wheelchair I'd been forced to use.

"You don't need to be ripping your stitches." With much protesting from my part, she lifted me up and put me in the front seat. I buckled up, and crossed my arms.

"Cheer up! At least you got lucky and Percy brought you in before your appendix burst." I nodded silently.

"What's wrong, Annabeth?"

"Nothing, Mom. I'm great." we were quiet for the rest of the ride home.

"Are you sure you'll be okay?" she asked me.

"Yeah. I'll be fine. It's only two weeks." I said, opening the door. I got out and walked inside, trying not to look too crippled. I went into the kitchen and leaned on the counter, gritting my teeth in pain. I found a pack of frozen peas in the freezer and held it over my stomach, hoping it would keep swelling down.

I don't know how, but I made it upstairs and into my bed. I turned on the tv and began watching Hamilton. At intermission, there was a knock at my bedroom door.

"Come in." I said, pausing the show. Percy poked his head in.

"Hey. How's the stomach?" I scowled.

"Fine." he sat next to me, holding up a plate of cookies.

"I brought you cookies." This brought a smile to my face.

"I love cookies!" I took one happily.

"Oh, I see how it is." Percy rolled his eyes.

"Can you watch Hamilton with me? It's boring by myself."

"Hamilton? Like the founding father?" he asked.

"Yes, Seaweed Brain! It's a musical about Alexander Hamilton's life."

"I'll give it a try." I grinned.

"Sweet. You'll become an addicted fangirl, just you wait."

Percy sighed and got comfortable as I rewinded it back to the beginning.

"See? It wasn't so bad!"

"It was a slightly entertaining history lesson." he said. I placed my hand over my heart in mock hurt.

"How dare you?! You didn't even like 'You'll Be Back'?"

"Okay that was good, but I don't know how you can sit through two-and-a-half hours of history."

"Oh, you're fine!"

"You know what would make me more fine?"

"What?" I asked suspiciously.

"This." and he kissed me sweetly. Not rough and hungrilly like he had in the hotel, but soft and slow. My hands were tangled in his hair, tugging here and there, playfully.

"You're driving me crazy, Chase." he said huskily.

"I could say the same." The bedroom door opened, but neither of us noticed.

"Annie I just–" Piper stopped. "Okay then..." and the door closed again. I pulled away.

"What if there are more people that broke in?" Percy laughed.

"Good point. Want me to go see?"

"No...I'm gonna call Piper." Percy grinned.

"Okay." I took out my phone and pressed Piper's contact, waiting for her to answer. I heard a ringing outside the door and held back a laugh. Then a crash and pounding down the stairs.

"Hello?" she picked up the phone.

"You were just standing outside my door." I said, laughing.

"N-No!"

"You're psycho. Did anyone else break in with you?"

"Just Thalia and Hazel."

"Okay. I'll have Percy carry me down the stairs."

"W– I never agreed to that!" Percy said.

"As of now, I'm handicapped. You have to do what I say until I can walk down the stairs without having to go back to the hospital and make my medical bill suffer even more." I heard Thalia snort in the background.

"Okay. See you when you have Percy carry you down the stairs." Piper hung up. I looked to Percy, expectantly.

"Fine." He picked me up bridal style, careful to not hurt me.

"Can you at least open the door? If you haven't noticed, my arms are full." I laughed, making my stitches hurt. I opened the door and Percy carried me down the stairs. He set me on the couch, so I was facing the girls.

"So, what was so important that you had to break into my house?" Hazel raised her eyebrow.

"Percy broke in."

"He knocked. That's different."

"Potato Patato. Anyway, we need to have a serious talk. Percy, you need to go pick up your child from school." Percy rolled his eyes.

"Have fun lady talking. I've learned over the years to not interfere so...how I wish I could be in the room where it happens." he bowed and then turned and ran out of the house. Meanwhile, I was laughing my ass off, and the other girls were staring at me like I was insane.
