Two Weeks Later
Percy"Hey, Percy, Annie. Come on in!" said Jason. Him and Piper were hosting Thanksgiving this year. "The only people we're waiting on are your mom, Paul, Estelle, Annabeth, Rosalie, and the blue cookies." I chuckled.
"Don't worry, I brought the blue cookies. Mom said she would be a little late, and Paul can't come. He had to go to a teacher thing, which is dumb, since it's on Thanksgiving." Jason rolled his eyes and took the giant platter of cookies from my hands.
"Are Nico and Will here?" asked Annie.
"Yeah. In the living room with Naomi."
"Who's Naomi?" I asked.
"Come meet her!" Jason said, leading us to the living room. Will and Nico were sitting on the couch with a girl that looked about seven years old. "Will? Neeks? Percy and Annie are here." they looked up.
"Hey, Kelp Head. Annie." said Nico.
"Can you say hi, Naomi?" Will asked the little girl.
"Hi." she mumbled, then hid her face in his shoulder. Nico shook his head and got up, walking over to us.
"Sorry...she's a bit shy. Will and I are fostering her. We might adopt her." I smiled at him.
"That's great, Neeks. My little cuz is all grown up!" I wiped a fake tear out from under my eye.
"Yeah, yeah." he wouldn't admit it, but I saw him smile a little bit.
I walked out of the living room to see if I could find Hazel and Frank. I found them in the kitchen with Piper. I didn't catch what they were talking about.
"Percy! Thank the gods you're here. Tell these two knuckleheads that Halloween is way better than Christmas!" Hazel exclaimed.
"Halloween is definitely better than Christmas."
"Why not Thanksgiving? It's like a cross in between–food, and fall." We all turned and saw Annabeth, her arms crossed. She was wearing a brown-knit sweater with a red skirt, dark brown leggings, and knee-high boots.
"But the decorations aren't as fun, and there are no costumes." Hazel whined.
"What she said!" Annabeth rolled her eyes.
"Cousins." I heard her mutter.
For the next two hours, we played around in the kitchen, seeing what we could put together for food. I'll admit, Jason and Hazel did most of the cooking. The rest of us were assistants.
"Let's have a karaoke night." suggested Piper.
"Great idea. Keep it child appropriate. There are five kids here." Will warned. I looked around.
"I only see three."
"You, Leo, Naiomi, Annie, and Rosalie." Annabeth snorted across the room, and I glared at her.
"I take pleasure in being a man-child, thank you very much." Calypso smacked Leo on the shoulder.
"Who wants to go first?" asked Jason.
"Rosie? Want to do our duet?"
"Sure!"
"Piper, cue the music!" Piper pressed a few buttons on her phone, handed two microphones over to the girls, and pressed play.
Annie: If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea,
I'll sail the world to find you
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see,
I'll be the light to guide you
