I wake up at around half 6, and go for a quick shower. I walk downstairs and see a shadow. I tiptoe into the kitchen and grab a frying pan. What? Frying pans are useful. I walk into the lounge and see Anthony, looking for something.
"Woah? What are you looking for?" I asked, slowly moving the frying pan down.
"Why do you have a frying pan? I was looking, for... none of your buisness..Go back to bed." He whispers. I glace round the room and find a piece of paper on the coffee table with 'DON'T OPEN' written across it. I pick it up.
"This what you're looking for?" I ask, smiling.
"Yes." he says quickly and tries to grab it. I hold it in the air.
"Give it!" He says jumping to get it. "I wonder whats in it..." I tease and slowly begin to open it.
"Lia don't! Please!" He begs. I open it fully. Okay, that was mean, but it's funny.
I begin to read it out loud. "I think that mom was right for adopting me a sister. Lia is one of the most funniest, craziest,..." I trail off and read it in my head. Woah..'craziest and sweetest girl I've met. She is really pretty and I love her. Not just in a brotherly way, but in a different way.' Was the rest he wrote. I looked at Anthony who was looking away. Was that what he thought of me?
"I-I can explain.. Sort of. Okay no I can't" he stutters. I am literally speechless. I open my mouth to say something, and then close it. I repeat and look like a goldfish.
There is a knock at the door and Anthony goes to answer it. I stand there, re-reading the letter several times.
"Whats that?" Someone says over my shoulder. I jump and realise it's Ian. He takes the paper off me and reads it.
"Ian?! No, not you too!" Anthony.sighs.
"Face it. The world's gonna know soon" I say.
"Woah... Awkward or what?" Ian says. "Especially the ending. Sad story." I snatch the letter off him and read the end. I. I have no words. What was he thinking.
"Lia. Why are you holding a frying pan?" Ian asks.
"No reason." I reply quickly. "I'm, just going back to bed. Just to, you know, die quietly in a hole. Which I don't have in my room so thats impossible. Uh.. Yeah. Bye." I run upstairs and plop on my bed. I sigh and try to think whether or not this was a joke or not. I'm slowly drifting away into land of thoughts.
I am woken by someone jumping on me.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" I shout.
"Now you are sharing rooms Ant." Someone says.
"Not funny." Says another. Then I realised I must've walked into Anthony's room instead of mine. Awkward or what. I slide off the edge of the bed and walk out. I fall onto my bedroom floor.
Why did I have to open the piece of paper? None of this would of ever happened! The thought of having to put up with a boy who has just confessed his love for me is out of my belief. I decied to try and go back to sleep,or try and wake up, hoping it was a dream...
Saturday, around lunch time....
I wake up, forgetting what had happened earlier. The thing I never noticed, was why Ian was there at 6 in the morning. Thats a little suspisious. This is a mystery that needs to be solved! That sounds really cheesy. I get out of bed and walk downstairs. The same question was going through my mind. Is that how he feels about me?
I've decided I will speak to Anthony alone. If I ever get a chance. I go into the kitchen and grab a piece of bread and put it in the toaster.
When my toast pops up, I hear a shout. Anthony is in his room, Mrs Padilla is out grocery shopping and I'm in the kitchen. Who else could it be?
I grab the trusty frying pan and walk out into the lounge. I turn the corner and see a figure sitting by the coffee table, writing something.
I clench my hands up on the handle of the pan and sneeze. I was meant to clear my throut, but a sneeze came out instead. A face turn around and the paper fell to the floor.
Before I could say anything, the figure turns around and knocks me out. I hear a voice curse before I roll into darkness...
