Roman and Remus are identical twins, and for some odd reason the universe thinks that a set of identical twins is the same person. So, it creates identical notebooks for the twins. Roman and Remus share everything. Roman sometimes wants something that is just his, but that rarely happens. When they were given their notebooks, the twins thought that they would be different. They were identical though, except for the names engraved on the back. Roman was disappointed at first, but he grew to love his soulmates even though he shared them with Remus.

Remus used to be slightly jealous of Roman's angel wings. Remus had more of their dad in him and Roman had more of their mom in him. Remus had his won special feature of his demon half. He could summon tentacles whenever he wanted, but he usually only did it to mess with Roman or if necessary. Remus also had two small horns on his head. He tried to hide them, but he didn't want to wear a hat. So, the entire world could see them. Roman however used to show off his angel wings of all to see. He was proud of his white wings. Until he got bullied for them and Remus beat the bullies up and sent them to the hospital. They were then moved to a new school every other year.

Roman and Remus wrote very differently in their journals. Roman told stories about a prince, while Remus wrote about the thoughts that he wished would go away. Roman was constantly losing his and accusing Remus of having it. That was no different today. Remus had just closed his notebook when Roman came into his room. Roman had a look of pure anger when he saw the notebook. Remus just gave him one of confusion.

"Seriously, Remus?! We just got home from our first day at the new school and of high school, and you decide to take my notebook?!" Roman accused.

"What are you smoking, Roman? This is my notebook, and yours is probably in your room somewhere," Remus retorted, "Why don't we go check your room before you accuse me again. It's probably behind your desk again." The two went across the hall to Roman's room. Roman looked under his bed, while Remus checked behind his desk. Roman came up empty handed, but Remus pulled out the notebook. Roman looked really embarrassed at how he accused Remus of taking it.

"I'm sorry, Remus. You would think that after all these years I would check there before accusing you of taking it," Roman apologized to his brother as he tried to grab it from him. Remus put it out of Roman's reach and gave him a stern look.

"Roman, you need to learn to keep up with this. It is literally how you will find your soulmates. One day you're going to lose it somewhere where you won't be able to get it back. I'm not losing you to insanity because you are too far from your notebook for too long. If you lose this one more time, Roman, I will supervise you when you use it. If you're not using it, I'll keep it with mine for safe keeping," Remus lectured his scatter-brained brother.

"Remus, you can't do that! It's mine!" Roman whined.

"Roman, promise that you will keep up with it," Remus requested.

"I promise, Remus. Now, can I have my notebook?" Roman vowed. Remus gave his brother his notebook and went back to his room. Neither of the twins had met any of their soulmates yet. He was beginning to wonder if it would ever happen for them. He didn't want to tell Roman these thoughts, because Roman just wanted to believe in the fairytale magic. He also believed that they would get their happily ever after like in a Disney film.

Remus decided to work on some homework before dinner. He had plenty to do since he decided not to do it in class, which he regretted now. Remus finally got all the work done when he heard a high pitch scream come from Roman's room. Remus raced over to his twin's room. He didn't see anything when he bust through the door though.

"Roman, why did you scream like a little girl?" Remus questioned. Roman just handed him his notebook, which was open to a page with yellow writing. The message however was very unsettling. Roman was crying from excitement and heartbreak. The message read, "Hey, I know that this is the first time that I've written in this, but it will also be the last. So, read carefully. If you've met me, then I'm fine and I don't need your help. If you haven't met me then it's for the best. Don't ask me questions, I'll open up to you on my terms. Also, I've read all of your entrees and I will protect you all. I promise."

"What does this mean? Is he or she in danger? Why wouldn't they write to us until now? What if they aren't allowed to write to us?" Roman started to flip out and go all princey.

"Ro! I need you to calm down. He or she is probably fine. They probably have some mental issues and think that they don't deserve us or something," Remus said, engulfing his twin in a comforting hug. The twins then curled up on Roman's bed and went to sleep. Roman sleeps better when his brother is near. Especially after he gets all emotional and worked up.

Just to be clear Roman and Remus are NOT soulmates. They have the same soulmates but they themselves are NOT soulmates. Have a wonderful day or night.
