The next few months went by in a blur, Sophie woke up went to school, did homework and fell asleep. Edaline was busy helping Jolie plan her wedding, which was coming freakishly close.
Then she remembered Jolie was coming to stay with them today! Jolie moved to Florida after she graduated, and visited every year, but in this case it was because she wanted to have her wedding where she grew up. California.
Sophie threw her covers off herself and jumped up, running down the stairs. Not even bothering to get dressed or brush her probably insanely crazy hair. She was down stairs just in time to see Grady's car pull up, he had volunteered to pick up Jolie.
Minutes later Grady walked in carrying three suitcases, with Jolie right behind him carrying one. She abandoned the single suitcase and ran over to Sophie with her arms wide.
"Sophie!" She yelled giving her a big bear hug.
"Jolie!" She yelled back. "Congrats! Brant finally did it!"
"I know it's crazy!" They pulled away from each other, each taking a stool at the island.
"So how's everything with you?" Jolie asked, raising her eyebrows.
"Fine, nothing special." She replied, leaving out the part about how her wedding was the only exciting thing in her life at the moment.
"Really, any special boys?" She questioned, Sophie's face heated up.
"No!"She said, a bit too quickly. But there weren't any special boys. Nope none that she could think of, definitely not.
"Immhmm." Jolie hummed, obviously not buying it.
"Whatever, how's Brant?" She asked, trying to change the subject.
"Oh he's lovely, he'll arrive next week. There's this big fire in Florida at the moment so he can't come until next week." She said cheerfully, but Sophie could tell that she was worried. Brant worked as a fireman so he had a risky job.
"And how's the wedding planning going, I can help with anything you need. Well not anything but most of it." She asked, hoping Jolie wouldn't ask her to help with clothing or the swans.
"It's stressful, but it's going well. We found this beautiful church in the mountains, it's next to an amazing lake. And now that I think of it, I do have something you can help me with." She said slyly. Oh no. Her thoughts were running fast, coming up with all the worst case scenarios. "Go get dressed in something casual and meet me back here in an hour, ok." She stated, more than asked. Sophie nodded, she wasn't even going to tell her what it was, seriously? But how bad could it be right?

Sophie bounded down the stairs, Jolie said casual so that's what she had done, although to be honest she would have dressed casual either way. It was spring after all. She wore long black shorts with a soft maroon t-shirt that had a monkey outlined in black printed on the front of it. She had put her hair into a messy bun and slipped on some black sneakers.
Jolie was waiting at the bottom of the stairs, wearing shorts and a Stylish blouse. "Come on, our appointment starts in ten minutes." She said as Sophie reached the bottom of the stairs. Appointment? An appointment for what? She followed Jolie outside and into the car.
They pulled out of the driveway, and Sophie just wanted to know where they were going.
"Are you going to tell me where we're going?" She asked, getting impatient.
"Nope!" Jolie responded. Sophie sighed and looked out the window. Entertaining herself with the passing houses and trees.
They pulled into a small parking lot with only a few spots to park, that was at the back of a small building with vines growing, over the whole building. They parked and jumped out of the car and walked to the front. What was this place? She got her answer when they reached the front of the building. On one of the long windows read, "Chillax, natural spa." Nooo. She brought her to a spa. Why? Just why? She groaned.
"Oh stop it, your going to enjoy this. Mum told me you've been stressed out lately so a little pampering might help calm you down." Sophie opened her mouth to negotiate, but Jolie put her pointer finger to Sophie's lips and said, "uh uh uhhh, you are going to get pampered end of story." Sophie pouted and followed Jolie inside, she was definitely not going to enjoy this.
Jolie had checked them in and a nice petite lady with wavy dark orange hair, that she learned name was Carly, walked Sophie to a large comfy looking chair with a tub at the bottom, probably for her feet to rest in. She sighed and sat down, Jolie taking the seat next to her.
"Jolie, do I have to have my nails painted?" She asked, but it was more like begging.
"Yes, Sophie. I'm sorry but it's part of the experience." She answered, shrugging with the hugest evil grin and humour in her eyes. Well at least someone was enjoying this, and it most definitely was not her. Carly walked away, returning with a ring full of fake nails painted tons of different colours.
"These are all the colours we have, pick as many as you like. And tell me when you are finished." She said with a smile, while handing Sophie the ring of nails.
"Thanks." She said, looking through all the colours. In the end she picked a slightly shimmery white polish and a clear polish. Carly set to work, painting all her nails with the clear accept her pointers, which would be the shimmery white.
"See? Isn't this nice and relaxing?" Jolie said as Sophie smiled, when she put her feet in the warm water. "Yeah, it actually kinda is." Sophie said, shocking herself.
"So, hows school?" Jolie asked her.
"It's school." She responded, shrugging.
"I thought you liked school."
"I do, it's just... I don't know."
"Harder than you expected?"
"No, it's actually easier than I expected."
"Then what's bugging you?" She took a deep breathe, And let all her worries cloud her mind, so she could see what they were. She blushed and looked away.
"Ohh, boy problems I see." Jolie said, as if everything suddenly made sense. But nothing made sense. She had seen him with his date multiple times around school, they looked like boyfriend and girlfriend. She had found out that her name was Annabelle, but why should she care. He was happy, he didn't need her and she didn't need him. She turned back towards Jolie, deciding to change the subject. "You should tell him you know." She said before Sophie had the chance.
"No I can't, not that I like him cause I don't not at all." She rambled, Jolie gave her the most unimpressed face ever.
"Sophie, it's so obvious. There's nothing stopping you, you should tell him while you still can." She said sweetly. But she didn't get it she couldn't, he had a girlfriend and then it would just be awkward between them and she didn't want that.
"He has a girlfriend." She said flatly.
"Oh..."
"Yeah..."
"If it's meant to be, then somehow it will be, never underestimate destiny." Jolie said. Yeah sure destiny cause that's just soo logical.
Don't you just love Jolie? I'm so glad I made it so she was alive in this story.
