Jugheads POV:

"I just love you, that's all" I spoke to her quietly as we walked home from Pops. "I love you too Juggie, and we've been with each other so long. I don't think I would ever be as happy with anyone else" Betty said with a small smile. She looked down at her feet then and I squeezed her hand a bit more. "But what if one day you like someone else, I can't live without you Jug" she exclaimed like she had been dying to say it. "Betts, I wouldn't be happier with anyone else either. You are perfect" I told her and brought her a little closer to me. "No I'm not...there are other girls with better bodies, bluer eyes." She began "smaller noses, less acne, straighter hair, way smarter. I could go on and on" she rambled.

"Yes, maybe you think that. But in my eyes you have the best body, the most beautiful eyes, cutest little nose, beautiful face with or without bumps. Perfect hair to fondle, and smartest person I know. To me you are perfect." I answered. I only hoped she could understand. "I don't understand how you could think that" she frowned and bit the inside of her cheek. "Look at this" I started. "There is hotter men out there. Better abs than mine, taller, smarter, and able to protect you better than me, but what do you think about that?" I asked her. She looked at me and snickered a bit. "I think you are perfect..." she said to me. "Exactly"

"I love you" she said and rested her head on my shoulder. "I love you more" I told her.

Bettys POV:

"Happy Birthday baby" Jughead said and placed a kiss on my lips. I finally turned 18. It's September. Jughead turned 18 back in December of last year. It felt like it had been forever and I was so ready to be an adult. We were at the Wyrm to celebrate me, even though I would have been fine without a party. "Happy birthday honey" mom said and placed a small box in my hands. It was wrapped in a light blue wrapping paper. Then dad came behind her and gave me a gift bag. "Thank you guys" I Said loudly so everyone would hear. I had received gifts from a couple people already. Veronica gave me some hair ties, and a brand new diary. Toni and Cheryl gave me some clothes that were to fancy for my liking. Sweet pea got me a gift card to some food places.

"Go on, open them" Jug said from behind me. I was sitting on a stool and he was standing over my shoulders. Mom and dad were sitting on the edge of the stage stairs watching. I began to open the tiny blue box mom gave me. I opened it to see a black and white box. I slipped the lid of it up and a sharp key caught my eye and made my mouth drop. "Really?" I asked happily. She nodded yes with an amused smile. "In the garage at home" she continued. I groaned as I really wanted to see my new motorcycle. I then picked up the bag and threw out some tissue paper. I lifted up what seems to be the biggest thing in there. I flipped it around to see a MacBook Pro on the box. "Woah!" I laughed loudly. Now I had the same as Jughead.

I kept digging through the bag. There was all my favorite candys, small things like a new phone case and lip balm. A few things Like makeup that I'm sure mom picked out for me. Finally there was one last thing in the bottom. It was so tiny and just seemed as wrapping paper. It was wrapped in shiny green paper. Everyone was quite as I unwrapped it. I peeked up to see mom and dad smiling happily at me. I put the wrapping paper on the ground and it had only covered a folded sheet of paper. I unfolded it and began to read.

Dear Betty,

I can not describe how much I love you. You've had a rough time these last few years, but I am so happy I was with you through it all. As soon as I seen you I knew I couldn't stay away from you. I felt a way for you that I had never felt. You made me happy and I was never going to let anything happen to you. I knew I loved you, and I know now that I always will. I can't live without you Betty. I know that there is nobody else out there for me. You are perfect for me and I hope nothing will ever come between us. Turn around...

I didn't read it out loud but I felt so happy that he loved me like I loved him. When I read the last 2 words I was confused. Who ends a love note like that? I felt a huge, goofy smile spread across my face as I folded the note back up and hoped off my stool and went to give him a hug. I turned around quickly and he was down on one knee. My smile dropped and my eyes filled with small tears. Was this actually going to happen?

My mind was racing. My father always told me nobody could love a bitch like me. When I was 15 he would hit me as he called an ugly whore. I believed him. I believed I wouldn't be loved. But here I was. Standing in front of the man I knew I loved with all my heart. Here he was down on one knee with a box and a beautiful ring. In front of everyone. "Betts...would you marry me?" He asked sweetly.

I was at a loss for words. My heart was pounding in my chest. His smile faded when he noticed I was crying a little bit. The truth was I loved him and of course I would marry him and become his wife, but I never thought anyone would actually care. I couldn't help but begin to sob right there on that stage. Jughead started tearing up as well. My eyes flooded over and every tear came rushing out. My sobs loud and painful. Everyone was silent as they watched me breakdown. I fell to my knees in front of Jug as he looked so hurt and confused. "Y-yes" I sniffled and let out a loud sob. "Yes, I'll m-marry you J-Juggie" I cried. I let my head fall down and my tears made everything blurry as I continued to cry so hard.

He smiled a bit and people all cheered loudly for us. Jughead didn't get up and yell or Celebrate. Instead he placed the ring on my finger of my left hand that I held up for him. My other hand on my face as I sobbed. He then closed the box and sat down beside my. Pulling me into an embracing hug. He kissed my forehead for a longer time the usual and hugged me so tightly. I hid my face in his chest and he rubbed my back with his hand. "I l-love you j-jug" I sobbed hoping he would hear it. "I know Baby, I love you too" he said back.
