With You

Just Another Day

Jugheads POV:
     "Mmm, Juggie wake up" I heard Bettys voice and felt a small shove on my shoulder. I kept my eyes shut and kept myself from smiling. "Juggieeee" she groaned again and shoved my shoulder a bit harder. "Hm ok, I could keep sleeping too" she said and I felt her snuggled back into my side. "Goodmorning Juliet" I finally said. "Morning. Can we not go to school?" She asked me and sat up straight. I sat up with her and moved some hair from her face.

     "Sure" I told her easily. Her face lit up before she fell back down onto the bed. "Thanks Juggie" she said and closed her eyes. Falling asleep immediately. "Your welcome baby" I said and kissed her forehead before laying down and falling back asleep as well.

Time Pass
3 hours

    "Jughead!" I heard Alice whisper yell from the door after knocking. I stood up and slipped a hoodie and jogging pants on quietly. I opened the door and stepped out closing it behind me. "Alice, morning" I greeted her. "I wanted to talk to you about Betty" she told me nervously. I nodded and lead her downstairs to the kitchen as I was hungry. "What do you want to know?" I asked her as I fixed me a bowl of cereal. "Well, has she still been having nightmares of Hal? Is she angry with me?" She asked carefully.

    "She has the nightmares occasionally, but not as much as she used to, and no. She isn't mad at you Alice" I told her honestly and sat beside her with my cereal. "What all did she tell you?" She asked me next. I assumed that Betty had told me everything but now I wasn't so sure. "Well, she's told me a lot actually. I couldn't know if it's everything though"  I said. "What has she told you?" She asked me next. I thought for a moment. Should I tell her? "Do you know everything?" I asked her hesitantly.

    "Yes, I do" she assured me. Part of me didn't believe her but I continued anyways. "Ok, she's told me that she used to cut herself. Her dad abused her and other people used her for...things" I said and looked down angrily. I couldn't even think about people hurting her like that. "She has told me how her siblings bullied her, and her nightmares" I finished and looked at Alice. "Has she shown you her hands?" She asked me. I knew exactly what she was talking about.

    "She hasn't shown me, but I've definitely seen them" I said nervously. Betty had crescent moon scars on her palms. "I never brought it up, but they are a lot better now. She doesn't do that much anymore" i said to Alice quickly as I heard someone coming down the stairs. Within a few seconds Betty came around the corner and went straight to me. "Juggie I'm cold without you" she complained and rested her head on my shoulder. I noticed Alice looking at her with a loving smile.

     "Are you hungry?" Alice asked her and stood up to walk to the kitchen. "No just cold" Betty said, keeping her eyes shut. "I'll be back up soon" I told her and began to get up to take my cereal bowl to the dishwasher. Betty pulled her head away and just stood there. "I said I'll be up soon Baby" I told her again. She still just stood there. Eyes shut and arms wrapped around her tiny body. I sighed and put everything away that I was using.

    "Come on" I said and wrapped an arm around Betty as I lead her up the stairs. I laid back down beside her and she snuggled back in close to me. "Are you sure you don't want to get up yet? It's 11am" I asked her. She just mumbled a quiet no and wrapped her arms around me tighter. "Ok" I sighed again and closed my eyes as well.

Time Pass

   I rose up from the bed, not able to sleep any longer.  Betty was still sleeping peacefully. I couldn't understand how though. "Baby. We should get up" I said and nudged her. "Mm" she hummed and kept her eyes shut. "Betts" I laughed and tried picking her up. I pulled her up from her back and made her sit up on the bed. "Juggie Noo" she groaned tiredly. "Yes" I said and pulled her up to her feet. She finally opened her eyes and gave me an annoyed look. What? You've been sleeping all day" I told her. She rolled her eyes and walked to the door.

    "Afternoon guys" dad said as we made it downstairs. "Someone wouldn't get up" I told him and looked at Betty. He snickered and pushed a burger to her. "Eat" he said. She started to unwrap the sand which and began eating it. "I don't know why I slept so long" she said and looked at me. Right then Alice came into the kitchen. "Oh, hey Betty, you're up" she said and hugged her from the side. "Hey, mom" Betty said strangely. I could tell she felt weird with her mom right now.

    "Your birthday is next month Honey, what would you like?" She asked her. I already knew what she wanted and had discussed it with dad. "My ears pierced" she told her and smiled a bit. Alice seemed shocked. "Really?" She asked. "Yep" Betty added and kept eating her burger. "Oh, and a motorcycle. Since I'll be 16" she said and smiled at Alice. "Oh my..." Alice said. I just laughed knowing that Betty didn't care what anyone else thought about what she wanted.
