Night finally dropped, it was decorated by endless stars and the cool weather called the body and soul to rest in a peaceful state and the heart to go to its soft regular rhythm.  Underneath it walked Marceline and Damien with their hoods over their heads, they spent the previous two days getting ready to face whatever that was waiting for them in the palace and it took them two nights to get into their destination thanks to their fast pace of traveling.

They were marching towards the enormous castle, and they could see its silhouette from far away in the deep dark forest as it felt as if it was glaring at them but from a distance. Then there it stood; the massive castle. The bright moon shone down and the clouds loomed over, gargoyle statues were located beside the entrance down the bridge as two guards stood by the entrance located in the middle of two watch-towers. Marceline and Damien fluently snuck towards those two and knocked them off making sure no one heard or saw them then entered the main gate hiding in the shadows of the massive garden, the two of them focused on getting into the throne room and refused to take any enemies down to avoid bringing any unnecessary attention. Eventually, they managed to get inside the castle. The corridors were painted black on the walls and ceiling as multiple chandeliers hung down along a few windows that allowed the moonlight to shine through.

Marceline and Damien searched for any trace of the throne room while avoiding the guards roaming around the castle. Finally, they managed to achieve their goal; through the sneaking mission, Marceline could hear her heart beating rapidly but not as fast as when they reached the throne room. There were no guards in front of the room but the duo heard muffled noise inside and waited for the perfect moment to sneak in. However, no one entered or exited the room until a few more minutes when a long white-haired man with pointed ears and purple eyes as a scar traveled down his right eye to his mouth exited the room. So Marceline and Damien took action and used the shadows to avoid being seen by anyone then hid behind some furniture. In the throne room, chains and torn curtains were all around the place in the dark and somewhat gloomy room then there stood ahead of a few stairs, the throne itself.

Bones surrounded the solemn chair that gave authority to whoever sat in there, but the only difference was: no one was sitting on the throne. Instead, there were two people kneeling in front of a tall muscular man who had red hair tied in a ponytail and yellow eyes. He wasn’t wearing anything on top showing his exposed chest and abdomen but some belts were tied up across his chest in order to hang armour on his left shoulder, he also wore a pair of dark-reddish pants that were attached to a sword thanks to some belts around his waist and black boots.

“Have you gotten any information about him yet?” The tall man asked.

“No Sir Radolf, but we heard about a werewolf who attacked a village of humans near the southeast of the borders three nights ago and we suspect that it might be him,” one of the two men told Radolf as Marceline recalled that this man was the alpha her uncle had talked about.

“I want you to go to that village and ask its people about the werewolf but don’t let anyone know your identities. You are dismissed,” Radolf said as the two bowed one last time before turning to leave. He looked at the throne before a smirk appeared on his face.

“You can reveal yourselves now,” Radolf suddenly said, making Damien and Marceline’s faces go into pure tension.

“We don’t want this place to turn into a mess if I come to get you out of your hidden spot, now do we?” Radolf broke the silence after a few minutes, but he got no answer. His smirk suddenly grew wider as he took his sword out and jumped to Marceline and Damien’s place but luckily the two dodged out the way before they got slashed into two. The two vampires quickly got their swords out and prepared to fight.
