Marceline’s POV:

Only a week left before my wedding will happen. I had Silia to help me take care of the organization, decoration and everything else but she had said that she wanted to tell me something extremely important which I could notice how happy she was.

“Marceline!” Speaking of the young woman, I was walking through a corridor when she came running to me while holding her dress up to prevent herself from tumbling with a wide smile on her face. I smiled at her as she stood in front of me.

“What is it, Silia?” I asked. A blush appeared on her cheeks as she stuttered.

“D-Damien-I mean Sir Damien asked me out,” she said as I looked at her with pure shock.

“He did? Congratulations Silia,” I said after I’d recovered from my shock, she happily looked at me and started talking about how he took her to the garden and asked her out under the lights of the moon then she was about to talk about the wedding when a servant came to me.

“Your majesty, your guests have arrived,” he informed me, then I thanked him and told Silia that we would talk about the wedding later thus I walked to the great hall in order to welcome the new guests visiting me and Zen, they were from Zen’s family and when they heard about the wedding they weren’t so happy about it but soon accepted us and wanted to congratulate and see their son. I stood still in my long light-brown ornate dress; it was opened from my collarbone, shoulders and neck and was decorated with dark-yellow flowers that matched with the dark-yellow arm sleeves I wore. As for accessories, I had my golden crown, a pair of long earrings and my mother’s ring. Suddenly I heard someone stand beside me, and I knew who he was without looking at him.

“You are just in time; they are going to come now,” I said as Zen fixed his white outfit and dark-blue hair.

“I had something to do,” he said, “Thieves again?” I asked, “Unfortunately,” he answered.

“Also you look gorgeous,” he added and kissed my cheek as I giggled at his behaviour, all of a sudden; the main doors opened revealing an old couple along a young blond woman with orange eyes and a young dark-red-haired man with sky-blue eyes and also who looked similar to Zen. Zen smiled at them as they walked towards us while gazing at their surroundings.

“This place isn’t too bad,” I heard the old lady mumbled, then the four of them stood in front of us before bowing to show respect.

“Welcome to my home, Mr. and Mrs. Adalwolf,” I greeted them as they smiled at me.

“Thank you, your majesty I’m happy to be here to see you and my nephew Zen,” Mr. Adalwolf said as he patted Zen’s shoulder.

“I’m happy to see you too uncle,” Zen answered. Since the incident that had happened with Zen and his father, his family seemed to refuse him as a member of their pack which had affected him mentally before but his only uncle kept sending him letters and communicating with him, despite what the other werewolves in their pack thought about Zen.

“It’s good to see you again, brother,” the young man said as he shared a hug with Zen.

“It’s good to see you too, Ulmer,” Zen responded with a genuine smile. He told me that his mother had died in his childhood, so he lived with his older brother Ulmer, his father Radolf and his stepmother who didn’t treat them very well.

“I’m glad to see you, my dear Zen,” the young lady suddenly said and pulled Ulmer away to hug Zen, I felt my heart clenching and my teeth pressing tightly as I forced a smile to appear on my face.

“Y-Yeah, it’s nice to see you too Accalia,” Zen answered, looking away awkwardly from the woman who kept clinging to him.

“Please allow me to walk you around the castle,” I offered after I had cleaned my throat, they all nodded while the young lady named Accalia glared at me before we all walked inside the castle.

Through the way I kept showing my guests different places, Accalia kept acting clingy and flirted with Zen which made me feel my blood boiling in my veins as I remained calm from the outside.

“Zen, remember when your father said we are destined to marry each other. I can’t wait for that destiny to come true,” she said as I could feel my shoulders tense and my fangs growing, then Zen whispered something to her and I could feel her move away from him hence I internally calmed down a bit and continued my walk with them until we had reached the guest rooms.

“Please enjoy your stay here,” I said as they nodded while I received a glare from Accalia, which made me look at her and smile.

“Thank you for your time, your highness,” Mr. Adalwolf said as I nodded my head with a smile, thus each one of them entered their rooms while I turned to leave in order to finish my duties as a queen.

“Celine, are you okay?” Zen asked with a hint of concern as he followed behind me, I stayed silent for a moment before nodding. He held my hand and gently turned me around.

“I can see something’s bothering you, please tell me what’s wrong,” he noted, but I looked away with as my fist balled, I heard him sigh before he pulled me with him and led me to the opposite direction I was walking in.

“Zen, I still have some work to complete!” I struggled against his hold but his grip was too strong for me to break. Giving up on the idea of resisting, I sighed and followed behind him as he led me to my room. We entered the room then Zen closed the door behind.

“Now tell me what’s in your mind,” he said as he stood before me, I looked at him with serious eyes as I started to talk.

“I heard from Accalia that you two were destined to be together, and I know that most werewolves can’t resist their feelings to be with their assumed to be destined partner so I’m asking you, did you feel anything for her?” Zen looked at me with a surprised look before his lips curled to form a smile as he approached me; he took my hand, placed it on his heart and closed his eyes.

“Don’t worry, you are the only one who makes my heart beat like this,” he said as I could feel his fast heartbeat against my palm, I could feel my cheeks burn from embarrassment.

“I-I wasn’t worried! Why would I be?” I shouted while stuttering and looking away.

“Oh? Even by the way your shoulders were tensed or the way you looked at Accalia as if you were ready to wipe her out? Or the way your jaw was clenched? Or-” He kept asking, looking amused.

“Alright, alright that’s enough. You win,” I said as I looked at him with a smile, he returned the smile and gently brought me into a warm embrace. I closed my eyes and let myself melt into his warmth.

“Zen, what did you whisper to her earlier?” I suddenly asked as he shifted his head to the side of my head.

“You really want to know?” He asked in my ear which made me feel chills running down my spine, I gulped and nodded my head slowly as I could feel his breath against my ear.

“I told her that soon I’m going to marry the woman I love with my whole heart,” he whispered as I blushed madly, He moved his head to my neck and started kissing it gently before going rough; I blushed and placed my hands on his shoulders as his arms were wrapped around my back.

“Why don’t we name this day as ‘the special day of jealousy’ all over the kingdom?” He asked with a husky voice as I could feel my heart beating faster because of his tone. Suddenly, the door was knocked which made Zen groan and pull away, I fixed my hair quickly and cleared my throat to give permission for whoever was there to enter. It was Silia.

“I-I’m sorry, did I interrupt something?” She asked timidly as she entered and noticed my flushed face, “N-No! Nothing happened,” I quickly answered, trying to cover my embarrassment.

“We’ll have fun later, your highness,” Zen whispered as he kissed my temple before leaving the room with a smirk.

“Marceline, why is your face all red?”

“No reason! Let’s just talk about the wedding already!”
