It took her a week to organize a ceremony under the name of peace between vampires and werewolves and the end of an inherited hatred that lived for ages. All kinds of people came to the castle, nobles, humans, betas and the new alpha. Everybody was talking and discussing inside the huge throne room where they gathered while waiting for the queen, Zen moved his eyes as he searched for a long-clothed man with a white beard and old features with a scar down his face, he finally spotted him and didn’t remove his attention from him.
“Her majesty has arrived. Long live the queen!” A man suddenly announced as everyone stood aside and bowed to the young woman walking towards the throne, Marceline was dressed in a black and red, thigh-length dress that was decorated with three gradually shaped black bows across the chest and had a black net behind it as it barely reached the ground, she also had her crown and the ring that reminded her of her mother in her hand. The young woman climbed the few stairs and sat on the throne then crossed her legs as she watched the crowd lift their heads, a servant came carrying a tray that had a cup of red liquid in it, it was blood. Marceline took the cup and raised it above as everybody else raised their cups.
“We are gathered here to celebrate the peace that settled between the vampires and werewolves, may our peace stay for eternity,” she nodded her head allowing the attendants to drink their cups at the same time she did, thus music started playing and everybody went back to their conversations. Marceline watched the attendants carefully and spotted a certain woman that she had assumed to be a witch. Then after an hour, the attendants started giving gifts to the queen when Endova approached while holding a golden cup with a bloody nearly black liquid. She was wearing a smirk on her features as she stood in front of Marceline.
“Allow me your highness to give you this perfect drink of the blood of a rare beast we all know, The Winged Tiger With The White Beard,” Endova said, making some guests gasp. As its name explained; the creature was a white tiger with two wings of an eagle and white beard that flew from the sides of its face. Vampires rarely spotted the creature but they had been saying that its blood had the best taste a vampire could ever imagine. The woman gave the cup to Marceline as the queen stared at it, she didn’t smell anything weird or sense magic from the drink which confirmed her suspicions. This woman was a witch.
“I would like to let my friend take a look at it first, please stand by my side Ganandorf,” Marceline said as she looked at the old man with a long white beard and old clothes coming from the crowd with an odd way of walking.
“Yes your majesty,” he said as he started mumbling incomprehensible words at the cup, Marceline glanced at the woman in front of her who shifted uncomfortably in her spot and bit her nails. Suddenly, all vampires gasped at the huge murderous amount of a malignant magic that could instantly lead anybody to their doom. As Marceline expected, the witch had used her magic to prevent any odd smell or magic from being noticeable by vampires.
“Arrest her immediately!” Clyde suddenly shouted as guards went to grab the witch who struggled in their hands.
“No! He was the one who told me to kill you! He will give me money if I kill you! Let me go!” Endova shouted as all eyes witnessed the scene.
“I guess you won’t give her the money she was expecting from you, Vladamir,” Marceline said as she walked down the stairs towards the old man in front of her.
“You should have never survived! You should be dead!” He shouted and growled, he got his sword and jumped towards her in an attempt to cause her harm but Zen was faster and blocked his attack with his bare hand, making the sword crack and break. Vladamir’s eyes had widened before they narrowed with pure hatred and grudge in them as he stared at Zen. Some guards had surrounded him as he looked at his sides trying to find a way to escape.
“You will pay for this! I will come back, and I will make you suffer!” He screamed as he was pulled away, Marceline stared at him as she could feel Zen wrap his arm around her waist and pull her closer to him protectively with a serious look on his face. All of sudden, Marceline gasped when Vladamir broke free and ran to grab Silia who happened to be the closer one to him before pressing a dagger against her neck.
“Say goodbye to your best friend,” he laughed and was about to pull the dagger when he screamed in agony as Damien stabbed his back and took the old man’s hands off Silia forcefully as he held her closer to him. Vladamir stood away and started laughing insanely in an intimidating way as some guards came to arrest him and took him away.
“We were not gathered here to celebrate the peace between our kingdoms only but also to witness the evilness in these two people and put an end to it,” Marceline said as people watched and started whispering and mumbling to one another, Marceline turned to look at Ganandorf and thanked him for accepting her request to help her with the plan she had schemed; then she turned when she heard her name being called by her uncle.
“I’m glad you are okay,” Clyde said as relief washed through his eyes, “And you Zen, I want to thank you for protecting her,” he added.
“I will always protect her,” Zen said and smiled down warmly at the young woman next to him as she returned the smile.
“Very well then. Excuse me but I have an announcement,” Clyde suddenly shouted, gaining the attention of everybody in the room.
“Since we have already assembled here, I want to announce that the queen has found her right companion to be by her side for as long as she lives and this man is Zen, son of Radolf,” Clyde said, the room went quiet for mere seconds before the crowd started clapping and congratulating the new official couple.
Marceline and Zen looked at each other as the two of them held hands with a smile lightening their faces.
