After the incident in the closet Violet had stumbled to her room. Ben scared her.
Violet heard Ben scream as she got into her room. She wondered if he knew that wasn't helping his case but she just sighed and flopped on her bed.
She hadn't been so scared of someone hurting her or yelling at her, in a few years.
After a few minutes Violet got restless, which was inevitable because she was a very anxious person.
She got up, deciding to take a shower as she was still slightly damp from the rain and her blood felt sticky and gross.
As she sauntered out of her room she ran into a wall? No. A human. Ben.
She was scared, she couldn't find the words to apologize, she couldn't even look at him.
So when his hand swung out, she flinched.
He sighed.
Ben helped her up carefully and she walked back into her room and shut the door. Not wanting to talk to Ben.
Violet put in her Selfish Machines vinyl, an old album from early 2010.
Violet liked older bands, so did her brother, the old bands reminded her of him.
Violets brother, Lee, was her best friend. They did everything together... until Lee got drafted.
Lee did some horrible things while he was in the fields, making many enemies. One of his enemies eventually found him and shot him though.
Violet recalled the memories as the record spun slowly around in circles.
"Violet?" Bens raspy voice echoed accompanied by a knock on her door.
"Yeah?" She whispered, barely loud enough for Ben to hear.
"Can we talk?"
Violet sighed and rolled off her bed so she could open the door to her bedroom.
"You scare me."
"I get that a lot."
