"I am going to work for a while. Outside here. It's not like for two or three days. Can you do a favor when i'm not around?," Alex asks Ethan. Ethan sitting on her laps, clinging to him spoiled.
Suddenly Ethan feels sad, but then again he's a Luthor. And when Alex told him today is a free day for them do celebrate before the long journey ot Alex, Ethan jumping around the penthose and start making a list. "Hmm it's a heavy task. I'm afraid only you could do this.." Alex whisper but Lena still can hear it from the place she standing right now, preparing their lunch.
She always stole glances at them. Enjoy seeing Alex pampering her son.
“Yes, of course,” Aiden nodded enthusiastically.
"Okay, first you would not going outside as long as i'm not around. And you're not forcing Elma or Mommy to take you out," Alex glanced at Lena when she said it. Smile fondly to her, again.. that soft smile breaks her heart again. She hates how Alex being so fucking good to her yet she hate if Alex act cool to her. So hard to decide which one she wants for this person.
"Because when i go back.. i have so many list for us to do. And it should be include me inside. Can't imagine you two have fun without me."  Alex sighed, pretend to be sad. Yeah it's not actually a pretend, she did being sad..
Her feeling for Ethan is so real and so sure that she wants to watch Ethan grow and make sure he would be a good Luthor just like Lena. And she have the feeling to always include her self on Ethan's future.
"And the second is the honor to look after your mommy," Alex says, without notice Lena just staring at them right after she puts the pasta on the table.
"Now you have the right to force her to have dinner with you. Not overtime at work, i allowed you to cry if she doesn't--"
"Alex..." Lena try to cut but Alex don't care. Lena can see Alex grin from the place she sat.
"I'm not crying. I'm not a baby you know." Ethan frowned.
"I know you're not. But that's the part of  taking care of your mommy. You gonna take the honour until i come back. Understood?"
Ethan nodded again.
Then Ethan motioning him self to come closer, and he whispered a words into her ear.
"How if i'm start missing you?," he asked shyly. And it brokes Lena's heart. Even if it's a whisper, Lena can still hear it. It's like she have a super hearing on Ethan.
Alex opened the watch on his arm, and hand it to Ethan.
"Press this button, you can send a voice note to me. But it take time for me to get it because i'm going to far from here."
"Where?,"
"To the stars" Alex smile, so soft.
"You're going to space?"
Alex nodded. "Something like that."
"Alex is going to save the world. Maybe the universe," says Lena. She stroked Ethan's head and kiss the top of Ethan's head. Ethan smell a little bit like Alex right now.
Lena smiled at Alex, who nodded, and pulled Lena in her arms, with Ethan.
Lena let Alex hugging her, let her self feel the warmth of Alex's. Spoiling her heart that almost getting froze before Alex come to her life, smothered her pain with a hint of sweet promise for her self in the future, imagining Alex coming back later and opening the distance between them. Maybe when the time comes, Lena will dare herself to get into Alex's heart and lock it from the inside.
Lena felt Alex catch her wrist as Lena moved away, let their fingers stick together.
Let the warmth keep flowing in Lena's body, maybe Alex's too.. she doesn't seem to want to lose Lena even for a second. Sometimes lena saw the sorrow in her eyes and wondered if Alex could just stay, or at least saying a loving words before she lefe. But Alex didn't. Or it too soon. Lena knows Alex so well, from Kara. Kara told Lena almost everything. How Alex being so patient with Maggie. How she forgive Maggie when Maggie reject her at the begining, how Maggie leave her on valentine day, how, and everything happen in between from her last relationship, how she close her heart and not let anyone in since Maggie, and it's so hard to choose a Luthor after a Sawyer. Lena can understand it, but a small part of her heart wanted to claim Alex as hers. She wants to have vacation with Alex and Ethan as family, celebrate christmas with Alex, waking up beside her in the morning, lean on her shoulder when life going to hard for her, and she wants to kiss Alex wherever and whenever she wants.

"I love our time together. I wonder if i found it earlier, about Ethan," she whisper to Lena as they lay together in the couch.
"I may not be able to give you the world but i guess i can create our own. I imagined life like this, with Maggie. But unexpectedly it's wonderful to spend it with Luthor's.."
Lena woud hate it if someone mentioned her last name but when it's going to Alex, it feels so wonderful.
Lena realized Alex had really stolen her heart away. The older Danvers is so easy to love. but Lena didn't expect her chest to become so tight because of Alex.
One of the reasons she doesn't want to be in a relationship is because she's afraid that her partner doesn't love Ethan as much as she does. James is a loving person, but he was stubborn like a rock. Alex is very gentle. She's so perfect for Lena. Alex Danvers is so far away from being selfish, she always put herself in last place. Lena knows she missing Kara so bad. Alex always spent her nights at the bar before the day she met Ethan. Bar to bar. Club to club. And a hard training at the morning, and in afternoon if there's no alien to fight in a day. Winn told her.
But Lena is also so much pain that she can't add Alex's pain to it.
And when they finaly did it, unexpectedly it became very beautiful.
This older Danvers should not be too close to someone or it will caused a broken heart. Maggie is a damn big idiot for Lena.
They spend whole day watching Netflix. Almost a family movie because Ethan in it. Ethan fall asleep earlier on Alex's arms, and Lena feels what Ethan's feel. Lena always felt sleepy every time Alex hugged her tight.
Pressing her body to the luxury couch.
Ethan is sleeping on the one side, And they both in the other side of the couch. Alex hug her tight, breathing in her scent.
"Lena..." Alex said tenderly. "If all the things remained the same when I came back, maybe I'll stay forever, if you let me.."
There’s no hesitation when she says it, no doubt, and that, more than anything else, is what convinces Lena that they’re going to be okay with this.
"But from the begining, i never become your first choice, don't you?" Lena smiled, a bitter one.
"You choose Maggie over me, because i'm a Luthor?"
Alex rolled her eyes. She couldn’t ignore the guilt she felt, though.
"It's not fair. You know i'm not a dreamer type. You totaly out of my league, ma'am CEO." Alex chuckled. Rubbing her nose in the crook of Lena's neck.
"If my money can buy your attention. I'll do it." She said.
Alex pulled up and looked at Lena.
"So you said that you're being depressed because I didn't pay attention to you, that's what i got?," Alex smirk, her face looks naughty. Lena wanted to squeeze his face and shower him with kisses.
"It was even easier for Sam to be close to you. you are more open with her, don't you?"
Alex just nodded. And it hurts Lena a little bit.
"Sam.. hmm.. she sounds make sense to me. You know at that point i'm waiting to fall for her. I'm waiting for the feeling to come yet it didn't happen anyway."
Lena looked at Alex deeply and desperate to ask
"And what about me, Alex?"
The green eyes stabbed right into her chest. Lena's eyes were enough to break the small box deep in her heart. A place where she always hides everything she doesn't want to feel.
"I once told Maggie that intimacy it's not my thing--" Alex stops, Lena could feel that Alex was thinking so hard.
"But being with you, here, makes me feel addicted, more than a pleasure to alcohol. You make me feel so good.."
Lena eyes start watering when Alex caught her, peppering her face with kisses, a soft kiss. Deep down inside her heart she wished Alex could say something sweeter than an addiction.
It's too much to expect saying i love you to her, Lena didn't even dare to dream, and she finds out that it was never more than a physical relationship.
