The Master's Bedroom
Hades' PalaceThe Underworld
-Aerith-
My jaw fell open as Hades strode into the bedroom with only black pajama bottoms on. Yep! No shirt!
He had such broad chest and abs I've only seen photoshopped on magazines. That body was something only a Greek god could possess and all those marble statues didn't do him any justice. His biceps bulged as he reached for a towel and then dried his hair. I could only swallow because my throat suddenly dried up.
Grimacing, I looked away and tried to tamp down these weird feelings.
Hey... He's your husband and this is your wedding night after all. Why not get some of that hotness?
I smacked myself in the head. This isn't right at all! This was all just a compromise. Or was that what I was trying to convince myself of?
I felt bad for saying those words to Hades earlier but they were the truth. My chest tightened when I saw his face fall and disappointment cross those beautiful grey eyes of his. He went to the couch and tried to be comfortable. I could see how uncomfortable he looked there. He couldn't fit his large frame on such a small couch.
"Hades...?" I whispered softly. I wanted to apologize for my behaviour and I wanted to tell him we could share the bed. It was large after all and we could each own a side without bumping into the other. I would just fill the middle of the bed with pillows so that it could act as some sort of divider for us.
"Yes, my queen?"
"You can take the bed and I'll just take the couch. I'll fit better there. You really don't look comfortable at all," came the hesitant reply.
"I'll be fine. I won't let my queen sleep on the couch on our wedding night."
"You sure?"
"Yes, Aerith. I am sure," he replied.
Well, okay then.
I went to the bathroom and then wiggled myself out of my gown. But it was such a hard task because the zipper was at the back! It took some time and I came so close to throwing in the towel and asking for help but I am proud to say that I managed it. I took a quick bath and then returned to the bedroom.
