I felt like I was suffocating, there was a unbearable weight on my chest that I couldn't get off. The night before has become a blur, drink after drink was poured. The night had gotten away from us. It was four a.m. before we had even laid down in my bed. That's all I remember, after that, I don't know what had happened.

His mess of curls was laid out across my chest, his ink covered arm wrapped around my bare stomach, holding me so tight I thought my ribs would break. He looked so tired and broken. Why was he tired and broken?

The realization hit me like a truck.

"Harry. Harry wake up." I wiggle underneath him, attempting to get his body off of mine.

"Hmm." I could hear the scratchiness in his voice already.

"Get off me. I have to go." I pry his arm from my stomach and use all of my strength to push him off of me.

He rolled onto the other side of the bed, the side where Sydney would sleep when she woke in the middle of the night from a nightmare.

I push myself off the bed, immediately greeted by a massive headache. That's what I get for drinking for hours straight.

"What's going on? Is there a fire?" Harry teases with a weak smile.

"In case you forgot, our daughter was kidnapped. I'm going down to the police station." I slip on a pair of jeans that were on the floor.

"We didn't have sex...did we?" I ask him, keeping my head down.

"I wish." He snorts. "No. We just got really drunk."

"Why are we half naked then?" I ask, throwing on a random sweatshirt at the end of my bed.

He shrugs. "We got hot."

"Fantastic," I huff. "I need to go."

At this, he jumps off the bed only to slowly sit back down. "You can't go to the police."

"Like hell I can't! My daughter was kidnapped, Harry. Not like you care."

"We went over this. I care. She's my daughter too." He says as he stands.

He walks over to my desk where his clothes were thrown. His baby blue button down was wrinkled from being on the floor in a crumpled mess. He struggled to put on his way too skinny jeans and if the situation was different, I would have laughed when he fell on his butt trying to get the jeans on.

"We already know who took him, so why do we need to go to the police?" He asks a bit harshly.

"Who would that be? Chester Lawrence?" I ask in a mock tone.

"Yes! I've told you-"

"I don't believe it. I don't believe half the shit that comes out of your mouth. You're a liar Harry Styles and I don't believe that some Chester guy kidnapped Sydney when he could have just killed us next door." My voice rose with every word, and by the time I was done I was nearly out of breath. "He knew I wouldn't be there so he took it as his chance to take Sydney. Does that even make sense? Why wouldn't he just come and kill us since he obviously knew I was going to be next door?"

"He didn't know. He screwed up. He thought you'd be home but when he say that Niall-" he cuts himself off. "Shit."

"What?"

"Niall. We forgot about him." Harry silently curses to himself and he runs out into the living room.

I follow quickly after him. The living room was both trashed and lacking a blonde haired Irish boy. The last time I saw him he was knocked out on the floor, that was right before my first drink.

How could we have forgotten about him? He was literally passed out on the floor, and probably had a concussion yet the only thing important to us was getting drunk off our asses.

"Any sign of him?" Harry calls from the bathroom.

"No," I sigh. "How the hell could we have forgotten about him?"

"Now we have two missing people." Harry trots back into the living, a hand in his mess of curls.

"We have to go to the police, Harry. It's not only our daughter who's missing but now Niall-"

"He could be home. He probably woke up and realized we were asleep so he left." Harry interrupts.

"Or he woke up, left, and is deliriously walking around the city."

"We're not going to the police." Harry shakes his head. Some curls fall in front of his face only to be pushed back.

"You can't stop me." I say in a warning tone. My purse was right on the kitchen counter and my keys, wallet and phone were inside. If I grab my purse and make it to the door I could make it to my car.

"We can find them-" before he could finish I bolt to the counter, grabbing my purse with one hand.

Harry reacted immediately, running around the coffee table towards me. I wasn't faster then him but if I could make it to the elevator a few seconds before him then he wouldn't be able to catch up with me.

His hand grazed my arm before I run out the door, slamming it into his side in attempt to stop him, well, slow him down.

My feet moved faster then I thought they would. My head throbbed with every step but I didn't stop until I made it to the elevator. Harry came running out of the apartment grasping his left shoulder. He was clearly angry, and was easily the scariest person I know when angry but I already made it this far so I wasn't going to give up now.

I frantically pressed the floor button, hoping the more I pushed it the quicker the doors would close. Harry was only five feet from the elevator when the doors slid to a close, sealing me inside.

I heard one bang and my name before the elevator started moving down.

"Holy...." I gasp for air. I really needed to work out more, I was so out of shape.

The elevator slowed to a stop. My car was just outside the lobby doors, I could make it. The police station was a few blocks away but Harry wouldn't make it there before me.

"Good afternoon Mrs. Smith." Mrs. Carnell smiles at me.

"Hi." She was always down here it seemed. After a late shift at work I came home at midnight and there she was, sitting in the ugly pink chair, watching the front door.

"Where's that adorable daughter of yours?" She asks with a sweet smile.

It hurt. Her asking that. I couldn't tell her, "oh, ya know, she got kidnapped."
Maybe she saw something though? She was always down here. She could have been last night.

"She's with a friend. Maybe you saw them leave last night?"

She shook her head. "I didn't. I was at my daughters last night and didn't get back until a little while ago."

"Oh," my heart sank. "Well, it was nice talking-"

"It looks like you have some company." Her smile drops as her eyes move to something behind me.

Stops there, sorry guys. I really wanted to post something but didn't have time to make it super interesting

You guys are so great really. This beginning of the year hasn't been what I thought. My mom told me yesterday that my grandpa (her dad) has cancer and is refusing treatment for some unknown reason...he won't tell us. I really appreciate your patience and love you guys so much <3

I hope none of you think this is all BS just to use as an excuse not to write and post as much as I need too, I'd never joke about this or lie about it. It's just been a really crappy beginning of the year and I love you guys for being so patient. Thank you <3
