A/N: ATTENTION PLEASE READ:
I have school starting tomorrow! So, I'm not sure when I will be able to update this story. I'll try to continuing posting once a week, and I apologize if I can't. I have no idea what to expect or how much free time I will have. I'll make sure to keep you all informed, though! Thank you for your patience and support. :)
Shinsou wished he could say that the next month of his time in the hero course was more eventful than it was. Aside from the usual study sessions with Kaminari and the somewhat exciting training exercises with Aizawa, Hitoshi couldn't say that much else really happened.
His and Asui's relationship was still going strong, Shinsou was finally starting to catch up to his classmates, thanks to his relentless studying and training, and every day he seemed to fall for Denki just a tiny bit more.
Not that that was important. The important part was that Shinsou was well on his way to accomplishing his goal of being a hero!
At least, that was what he had to keep telling himself. It was a crush, and though, at that time, it felt more exciting than school, it would pass and become minuscule compared to his future career.
But back to where things had started to get more interesting.
It was a Friday evening after classes, about four weeks after Shinsou'd had his first study session with Kaminari. Walking back to the dorms, Denki decided to join him, which was something Hitoshi had long gotten used to. There was no point in trying to ward off his classmates. Not that he'd exactly want to do that to Kaminari, anyway.
"Any plans for the weekend?" Shinsou asked as they walked across campus. Usually, no one really went anywhere during the weekend and instead chose to stay at the dorms. That was the answer he expected, but there always seemed to be one or two people each week that were off-campus for the weekend.
"Actually, yeah!" Denki chirped, pulling on the straps of his backpack. "I'm visiting my grandparents for the weekend." His smile fell a bit and he turned his head to glance at Hitoshi next to him. "They're, like, real traditional and conservative and stuff, though. My mom usually doesn't even let me have my phone with me when we go."
"So you won't be able to text," Shinsou concluded, more of a statement than a question. Denki nodded anyway.
"So don't get worried or anything if I don't respond." He grinned, flashing his teeth as Kirishima would often do.
"Of course," Hitoshi muttered, focussing more on the ground in front of him than the blond at his side. At this point, his feelings were a lot stronger. So much so that sometimes it hurt to think that they were only friends. He sighed quietly to himself. His relationship with Tsuyu was supposed to help with that. But, if anything, Shinsou's situation was only worsening. He couldn't say the same for his girlfriend, though he did have an inkling that it wasn't working in the way that she wanted, either.
After reaching and entering the dorms, Hitoshi expected to see himself to his dorm for a well-deserved nap. Training was especially difficult that day, and everyone was exhausted, if the lack of idle chatter coming from the remaining classmates sitting in the commons room was anything for him to go by.
Denki seemed to notice the eerie silence for the 1-A dorms as well, loudly whispering to Shinsou, "It's way quiet in here." Hitoshi nodded, casting a glance to the others seated in the commons.
"We can still hear you, dipshit," Bakugou growled at Denki from his seat on the couch. The blond gave a nervous smile and apologized. "It's not our fault Aizawa beat our asses."
