A/N: TW PLEASE READ:
So this is important. And, unfortunately, I have to bring your attention to this. This is a trigger warning from here on out in the story. If you don't want major spoilers, of course, don't look. But, I repeat, this is a trigger warning.
SPOILER WARNING:
From here on out in the story, this fanfic will include mentions of death and a character death as well as depictions of blood and violence. Read at your own risk, and thank you for taking this warning into account.
!!Panic attack warning, as well!!
Also: If you are triggered by any of these do not worry! I will write a summary of the chapter in an author's note at the end that will not go into detail over any grueling factors, so you can still keep up with the story!
And I apologize in advance for this.
Kaminari Denki wouldn't consider himself the jealous type. Of course, Toga would most definitely disagree with him, but that wasn't the point. The point was that he didn't think he was the kind of person to become easily jealous.
Or maybe he was just great at lying to himself.
See, when Shinsou and Asui first got together, Kaminari wouldn't say he was exactly happy for them, but he wasn't out for blood the immediate moment that it happened. He still was able to keep his head and his facade. Not one person at UA had suspected of him, and that was a good thing. But it also wasn't like Hitoshi getting a girlfriend was going to ruin it for him.
Denki would admit, he had some less-than-sociably-acceptable thoughts at first, but only because he was worried that Tsuyu would ruin his whole "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" thing. That was what he told himself and he was sticking to it.
And it almost had put a wrench in his plans. He found it much more difficult to work around the obstacle that was Asui Tsuyu.
At first, he had attempted to break them up. Kaminari wasn't an idiot, nor was he dense, and Shinsou wasn't as smooth as he thought he was. It was obvious to the blond from the start that Hitoshi possessed a certain liking for him that he didn't have with others. Now, whether that was romantic or he just deeply cared for Denki as a friend, he didn't know. He didn't care, either. Whichever it was, it told him that, if given the choice, Shinsou would more likely than not choose him over Asui.
Which was perfect for his plan.
That day on the roof wasn't exactly planned. Sure, Denki had been thinking of ways that he may have been able to break the two lovebirds up, and kissing Shinsou had, of course, crossed his mind, though, to him, it had felt like a last resort.
He hadn't planned on going through with it. It was just kind of the spur of the moment and the perfect opportunity. He wasn't surprised when he found himself asking Hitoshi if he'd want to kiss him. He was surprised, though, to find that Shinsou actually did it. It was the farthest from his expectations. Okay, maybe he had known it was a possibility, but not only did it secure his suspicions about Shinsou's feelings towards him, but it also gave him the exact leverage that he needed.
Kaminari would not admit, though, even to himself, that he enjoyed that kiss, or that he wanted more, or that he was more than just disappointed that he had to second guess himself, after all, when Hitoshi suggested that they only just forget about it. But those thoughts aside.
Denki was extremely frustrated when his plan hadn't gone as it should have. Asui never broke up with Shinsou for what could definitely be considered cheating, and Kaminari'd had to kiss Shinsou for no reason. He told himself the whole experience hadn't been worth it, and that it was only a waste of time.
