A/N: TW PLEASE READ:
So this is important. And, unfortunately, I have to bring your attention to this. This is a trigger warning from here on out in the story. If you don't want major spoilers, of course, don't look. But, I repeat, this is a trigger warning.
SPOILER WARNING:From here on out in the story, this fanfic will include mentions of death and a character death as well as depictions of blood and violence. Read at your own risk, and thank you for taking this warning into account.
Also: If you are triggered by any of these do not worry! The only spot mentioning these triggers is before the line/break in the text. After that, it is clear. For what happens before, though, I will write a summary below that will not go into detail over any grueling factors, so you can still keep up with the story!
SPOILER WARNING (again):
Summary: Asui's body is discovered not only by Denki and Shinsou but also by the teachers after Shinsou calls for them to get there. Hitoshi finds a scorched picture frame in Tsuyu's room right before Aizawa is called by Kirishima. He and Shinsou run off to him and he says that the students found the villain they think caused the attack.
Shinsou immediatly looked away, the ground swaying beneath him. He could hardly breathe. What did he just see? She couldn't be... could she?
Kaminari let out a squeak at his side, taking a step back. "Oh, shit," Hitoshi distantly heard him mutter. But that wasn't what his focus was on.
Shinsou forced himself to look anywhere but into the room, anywhere but at Asui. What had even happened to her? Why was she...? She didn't deserve this!
Denki broke Shinsou from his thoughts. Hitoshi barely had time to glance at him before the blond was running off, fleeing the scene. Shinsou didn't even think to call after him, let alone follow him. He could barely process anything else aside fro the fact that Tsuyu was really gone.
But he forced himself to snap out of it despite how much effort that took. Right. He needed to find a teacher. He supposed that the quickest way to do that was to call Aizawa. He lived near the dorms, too, if Hitoshi was remembering correctly.
Thankfully, his teacher picked up right after the fourth ring. His usual gruff, monotone voice rang through the speakers of Shinsou's phone, saying, "What--"
But Hitoshi cut him off, desperation clawing at his throat and making it nearly impossible for him to speak. "Please, you need to come to the dorms, now!" he managed to choke out, nearly screaming into his phone. If Aizawa couldn't understand the urgency of the situation by his words, he was sure to from Shinsou's tone.
"Right," he said into the phone, and Hitoshi could hear shuffling on the other end. "Just try to calm down, I'll be there in less than five minutes." Shinsou nodded his head, though he knew Aizawa wouldn't be able to see, but it was all he could manage to do. A bead of cold sweat formed on his forehead, threatening to catch in his eye as he hung up the phone.
Shinsou wracked his brain. They had covered situations like this in class, albeit briefly. What was he supposed to do next?
He stopped to catch his breath and think about it. Right! Hitoshi immediatly turned from Asui's door, sprinting down the hallway and taking a turn around the elevator until he landed at Sero's door. Hitoshi knew that he must have been in his room, seeing that Kaminari was most likely just there. Aimlessly knocking on anyone else's door and hoping they were there would be a waste of time more than anything.
