Spencer never wanted to be a lawyer, her parents did. Spencer was going through a phase where she is making her decisions what she wanted not her parents. It only lasted about a year before her parents disowned her. Most daughters would cry or be angry but not Spencer Hastings. She was happy probably the happiest she has ever been in her life. The first thing she did was celebrate got drunk met a guy spent the night at his place left in the morning. Never happened again. For the first 2 years she lived with her best friend Aria. She joined force at age 25. Got promoted to a detective where she is currently at.
5 years later she was dealing with a murder investigation. Outside her office she could here the cops laughing she didn't now what until she heard his laugh. Detective Cavanaugh. He has hot. But other than Spencer was annoyed of him. He was cocky, irresponsible, unprofessional with co-workers. But he had a charming affect on all the women in the force expect Spencer.
Spencer went outside her office and found a group of people listening to Detective Cavanaugh laughing at what ever he said. Spencer rolled her eyes and continued walking until he laid eyes on her.
"Ms. Hastings?" He called. She turned around finding him right behind her a little too close to him she took a step back to get some space.
"What can I do for you Mr. Cavanaugh?" Spencer said in a professional manner.
"Chief wants you in his office said something about a new case." He said in his sweet yet deep voice.
"Alright, thank you for notifying me, I should head their this second" she said walking away.
"Wait for me!" He yelled running behind her.
"I can very much go by myself, Mr. Cavanaugh" she said.
"I know but he wants to see us both of us together" he said walking next to her. Spencer just rolled her eyes.
They made into the office and saw that the chief wasn't their but lieutenant Tanner.
"Lieutenant Tanner? What are you doing here?" Spencer asked.
"The chief had to leave for a family emergency, he did leave me some work."
"Ok, well if he's not here I'll just leave." Toby said walking out.
"Wait he did say that both of you have a new case a missing persons case." she said handing them a folder.
"Where's my case?" Toby asked
"That is your case and Spencer's too" she said and Spencer eyes almost popped out.
"What?! I can't work with him" Spencer yelled angry.
"Do you have a professional reason to why you can't be working with Detective Cavanaugh?"
"No" Spencer said defeated
"well I need you both to star right away" She said turning around waiting for them to leave.
"I guess we are partners now" Toby said proudly.
"Yeah lets just solve this case and get this over with." she grumbled.
"Well shall we get started?" Toby said
"Ok, whose our victim" Spencer asked.
"Addison Derringer"
"Who is she?"
"She is a student Rosewood high, captain of the swimming team, and is or was currently running for vice president. she has a pretty normal life." Toby says
"It says here she disappeared on labor day weekend, she was at a sleep over with her friends when they woke up she was gone and ever since then nobody has seen her." Spencer says
