Phoenix Sterling

My alert went off when I saw Eric sitting next to Lana. I kept my eyes on her when she was talking to him. It seemed like she introduced herself as my wife to him because she showed him the ring.

I never liked Eric. He's the type of guy who always want what other people have. Technically since Lana was married to me, she's mine, even though we both know it's pure an agreement.

"Jealous?" Lorenzo whispered to my ear and I turned to him shaking my head. "Jealous is not my thing, Lorenzo. She loves me too much to cheat." I said proudly and he pointed at Lana. I turned my head and saw them exchanging phone numbers.

"Let them be, she's always overly friendly." I said and Lorenzo laughed.

"Don't tell me that you asked her to be your pretend wife." Lorenzo said and I shook my head.

"I'm not that type of guy, Lorenzo." I hissed and he nodded as he grabbed a bottle of beer.

"When it comes to Edeline, I will feel so so so jealous. I always so afraid that she will leave me one day. I always told her not to leave me if we fight.. damn.. I'm so whipped." He said and he drank his beer straight from the bottle. Lorenzo was actually so much worse than me when it comes to women.

He adores women and that's why he became a playboy. Every month he will change girls like he changes his car. He's been so rich since birth so he was definitely spoiled. He changed when he met Edeline.

I'm glad that he met the one. He deserves it. He's one of my best friends beside the Illicit. He helped me a lot especially with money. I owed him a lot but he always pretends to forget about it. He helped a lot of people secretly not like other people who loves to show off when they're doing charity.

"You should take care of your wife, Phoenix. Leaving her alone is not the best idea." He said and he walked back to Edeline who's currently going drunk with her bridesmaids.

I turned my body around and Lana is all alone again now. I walked towards her and she was looking at the table in front of her blankly.

"Lana." I called her and she turned to me.

"You wanna go outside? Stroll at the beach?" I asked and she immediately smiled. I put my hand in front of her and she took it. We walked out from the venue and I can smell the sea right away. We walked hand-in-hand towards the beach.

"Phoenix." She stopped and I turned to her. She put her hand on my shoulder to take off her highheels. She was trying to pull up her dress and she looked confuse.

"The dress is yours so.." I said and she turned to me raising her eyebrows.

"Really?"

"Yeah.." I said and she held my hand again. We walked towards the sea together. I took off my shoes and put it on the sand. She put her heels beside mine and we looked at each other nodding.

We walked to the water together and she giggled. "It's a little cold but I love it." She said as she looked down to her feet. I chuckled and we walked more until the water stop on her knee. I don't want her to get more deeper.

"The dress is beautiful.. and I might regret this." She said as she looked at her dress.

"I can buy you a new one." I said and she chuckled.

"To be honest.. I don't like this dress." I turned to her a little bit amuse hearing it. "I love it when it's a little bit more slutty.. more revealing.." She smirked looking at me and I chuckled.

"People might think what kinda husband I am letting you wearing that kind of dress."

"All of your families and friends told me that I'm the luckiest girl alive to be your wife. Let alone be your wife, they said you rarely have a girlfriend." That's true. I don't date and I only dated twice.

"I told you that I don't do this kind of romance."

"I think you'll be good at it." She said smiling to me and we walked back to the shore. I took off my suit and put it on the sand so the both of us can sit down. I helped her first and I sat down next to her.

"You have everything, Phoenix. A great family, you're rich.. your face is.. okay." I turned to her raising my eyebrows. "Okay?"

"That's not the point." She hissed and I laughed.

"I do have everything and people like you assume that I'm this perfect man but I'm not that perfect."

"No one's perfect, Phoenix. You're not, I'm not. We have a lot of flaws and that's how the world works." I turned to her and she was admiring the beautiful sky. I felt a thump on my heart seeing her. I quickly turned my attention to the sea.

"Why do you hate Julie?" I asked because what's make my first impression about her completely bad.

"Why do you want to know?"

"We both don't have the best meeting, Lana." I said honestly and she chuckled.

"She clearly wants Finn's money. Finn was too dumb that he believes her that she is this innocent girl who wants nothing but love like cinderella and that disney shit!" She rolled her eyes.

"How do you know that?"

"She's with Finn but she was actually hunting to find another man who is much more richer than Finn. She tried to fit in but she can't. She's trying too hard and she would constantly try to make eye contact with other people. If she really loves Finn, she should have her eyes on him only. That's love.. for me. Other things won't matter if you love someone, you will only see them." I was impressed.

"Finn was sure easy, I used to like him a lot but not anymore. He's dumb.." I chuckled at her comment.

"If we're still friends in the future, maybe I will invite you to my wedding." She said all of the sudden.

"Won't your husband be mad? Inviting your ex-husband to your new wedding?" I asked as I turned to her.

"That's true.. I didn't think of that."
