Chapter 31 - Real

I could feel the world falling apart when I got a call from the hospital that my father is dead. My ears were ringing and I couldn't hear a single thing. I found myself running out from my office building grabbing a taxi. I called Phoenix on my way there and I was devastated.

I was crying on my way there and I was heart broken.

I got out from the taxi and ran towards the emergency room. I followed the direction in the hospital and suddenly someone grabbed my body into a room knocking me out.

I opened my eyes slowly after I regain my consciousness. I was locked in a small room and the door opened revealing Julie.

"You!" I said and I looked down to see my arms are tied with ropes. Julie immediately untied me and I slapped her face hard.

"Why did you do this?" I was more than angry. That second I remembered that my father was dead.

"I.. I'm sorry." Julie said and the door bursted open revealing Finn. I was more than shock at this point. I never thought Finn was involved in this. He pointed his gun to Julie's head and Julie raised her hands in the air.

"Why?" I looked straight to Finn's eyes.

"Interesting to know that you and Phoenix are actually husband and wife." He chuckled like it was a joke.

"I thought you're going to propose her?" I shot him back with another topic. Finn turned to Julie and Julie looked at him in horror. I'm still trying to process the situation here because it's confusing me.

"I will kill her next and then you.. so you could see your father again." He smirked and that's when I really want to kill him. Finn's phone rang and he walked out from the room leaving the both of us together.

"What exactly happened? You need to tell me or else I will kill you if we both make it out alive." I said angrily and Julie looked down to the ground.

"Finn and I met in Phoenix's office building. He was asking for my number and asked me on a date. We went on 3 dates and he.. raped me." Julie sat down on the floor looking at the ground blankly.

"He raped me, assaulted me, threatened me to help him." She continued as she tried so hard not to break down.

"I don't know if you already know or not but Phoenix is a member of ILLICIT. ILLICIT is a big cooperation and they do a lot of shit that connects European Union together. They produced military gears, transportation and a lot of things." Oh my Lord.

"I don't know how Finn knows about Phoenix being one of the members but he knew. Finn found out that ILLICIT actually has a headquarter in Paris and he wanted the access card. Finn even got his secretary into this mess to but Phoenix was too good not to leave anything important behind."

"And then.."  The door bursted open and Finn gestured Julie to come out. I was locked again in the room and I can't believe this. I can't even mourn my father's death peacefully.

Then I remembered.. Phoenix.

The door bursted open again and Finn walked in. He grabbed me by the hair and dragged me out from the room. He pushed my body to the ground.

"Why are you doing this?!" I asked as I looked around to see where I am. I turned to Finn and he threw my phone to the ground all of the sudden.

"Call Phoenix and tell him that I don't have all day." He said and I quickly opened my phone. Instead of dialing Phoenix's phone, I dialed 112. I put the phone to my ear and the operator immediately answered.

"Phoenix, Finn doesn't have all day so could you come here! He's going to kill me!" I screamed pretending like I'm actually calling Phoenix.

"You better come fast because he has his g-" Before I could continue, Finn grabbed my phone and when he found out I called 112. He shot my straight to my stomach.

I screamed in agony because of the shot. The pain was indescribable and I pushed the wound to stop the bleeding because if I bleed more, I might be die soon.

"You're going to die today, Lana. You're just pathetic like your father." He slammed my phone to the ground and squated down near me. I bit my lips because of the pain.

"Where's Julie?" I asked and he took out his phone from his pocket. He took a picture of me and I think he will send it to Phoenix. Oh God, why am I.. in this state?

"Finn!" I heard Julie's calling him and I couldn't even turn my head anymore. My stomach was hurting to much because of the shot.

"I don't think you'll like this." I heard Julie said and Finn walked away. As I tried to sit down, Finn shot me again but this time to my thigh. I screamed in pain because of it. I couldn't even feel my body anymore.

Blood kept coming out from my body and slowly I was losing my conscious. I tried so hard to stay awake but.. my body just couldn't take it anymore. Not only the pain that I'm feeling but also my emotions. My father is dead and I still couldn't find the answer why he die and how he die.

Phoenix, I hope you could save me and help me right now. I don't think I'll have a chance to live if you don't come.

"Lana.." I heard Julie calling my name. I felt her shaking my body to see me if I'm conscious or not. "Lana!" She tried to wake me but I was.. losing my consciousness very fast.

"No no.." Julie screamed but for me.. everything turned dark.
