Wave and Pang got married exactly a year later. It was a small ceremony only attended by close friends and Pang's immediate family. Wave received his Ph.D. the next year and was due to start teaching and continuing his research in the fall. Pang released his second novel around the same time, which gained popularity in the States after his first novel was translated into English. Speaking of English, Pang was hopeless, but Wave was more than happy to translate for him when they went out. They moved into a small house on the edge of the college town Wave was hired at and adopted two dogs and a cat. Pang never regained his memories from high school, and Wave never told him. He felt like he was tricking Pang in some way, but he thought it would be better for Pang not to relive their traumatic past. He loved him and wanted to protect him, even if that meant Pang would never reach his full potential.

Thank you so much to everyone who has read this fanfic! This is probably the biggest project I've taken on since I started writing fanfiction over a decade ago. I'm really honored that you took the time out of your day to read this and my other two PangWave fics (if you've read those too lol). Unfortunately, I'll be taking a little bit of time off from writing, seeing as I started uni last week, so there won't be any updates, at least for the next month. My next few fics will probably be BTS related, since that's what literally all my WIP fanfictions are right now, but maybe I'll get inspired by the new season of the Gifted??? Probably??? I'll probably be talking about it a lot on Twitter so you can follow me over there @giftedgorl if you want (I will probably follow you back). I'll also be cross-posting this fic onto Archive of our Own later, so if you're like me and hate Wattpad ads, I'm @Lala2552 over there. I mostly read/write BTS fics nowadays, so if you want a recommendation for literally any ship, just DM me on Twitter or something. And... that's about it! Again, thank you so much for the support. I'm always happy to read new comments, even if I can't respond to all of them. Stay safe and healthy!

Longing for You - a PangWave fanfiction
FanfictionWave couldn't tell you the last time he talked to Pang, but as luck would have it, they meet in a cafe four years after graduation. Too bad Pang doesn't remember a thing.
