Pang would be here any second now. Wave was more nervous than he'd ever been.

It was cold, so he brought an extra coat for Pang. He was sure his boyfriend wouldn't be used to the late-fall weather, let alone the dumping snow in November Michigan weather.

Holding an extra coat was also his excuse to hide the small box he was holding.

He took a deep breath. This was such a last minute decision, and he was sure he got Pang's ring size wrong, but there was no going back. This was it.

Luckily, Pang's flight wasn't delayed this time. He was still exhausted, giving the twenty-hour travel time, but he visibly melted when he saw Wave.

Pang trapped him in a tight hug. "I'm home."

Wave chuckled. "You haven't even seen the place yet."

Pang pulled back and gave Wave the cheesiest grin. "You're my home, Wave."

Wave pushed him. "You're such a cheeseball."

"Only for you, my love," he respond, pulling Wave in again.

Wave patted his back. "Hey, I got you something."

"I see that." Wave handed him the thick winter coat. "Though I'm not sure I'll need it. I have thick skin."

"More like a thick skull," Wave retorted. Pang looked mildly offended, so Wave said, "You know I'm joking, dork."

"I know, I know. You think I'm the smartest guy in the world."

Wave snorted. "I wouldn't go that far."

Pang rolled his eyes. "Love you too. Let's get back, I'm tired as fuck."

Wave pulled on his hand. "Wait. I got you something else."

Pang turned to look at Wave with a confused puppy expression, head-tilt and all.

Wave squeezed his hand and took a step back. He reached into his pocket to pull out the small box. Pang gasped when he saw what it was. Wave dropped to one knee and squeezed Pang's hand again before opening the box, revieling an engagement band make of platinum.

"Pang, you are the love of my life. We've known each other for nearly a decade and while not all those years were pleasant, we found our way toward each other in the end. I know I call you dumb and cheesy, but you know that I love all those things about you. Everything about you, really. And now that we can finally be together in person and not through Skype, I have the absolute honor of asking you to marry me. So will you please be my husband?"

Pang was nodding throughout his whole speech, and both of them were bawling in the middle of the airport, so Wave was not surprised when Pang tackled him into a hug and shouted, "Of course I'll marry you. Wave, I love you so much. I can't believe you would do this right when I got here. Oh my god, we're engaged!"

Wave laughed and kissed Pang after he was done rambling. He put the ring on Pang's pinky finger because it was much too small for his ring finger, but a small mistep couldn't ruin their excitement.

Wave was going to spend the rest of his life with this man. The man he loved in high school, but lost his memories due to the unfortunate situation. His first and only love. His family. His Pang.
