(Beautiful Monster) Ne-Yo
Walter's POV
I'm walking down a corridor, decorated with ancient ornaments and paintings. The objects seem to fade in and out with a purple haze. Strange. My orange trunks sweep lightly on the long carpet as I descend further into the endless length. Why am I here? I don't know but my steps won't stop.
I hear a brush of hair pass my shoulder and look to see the disturbance but I see nothing. I hear the force padding inches away from. I follow the sound,as if in a trance. The padding fastens as I walk quicker. The corridor goes on forever until I see a shadow in front of me-a door. There's a slit of purple light under the door, signalling the room is live.
The padding has stopped and I listen closely for its sound but I hear nothing.
My feet move forward on their own accord, following the door. My eyes widen with a horrified anticipation as my hands reach for the door knob encrusted with a symbol of a cats head. My ears hear fire crackling inside the room.
My hand turns the handle and I push my weight on the door, prying it open. My eyes are briefly blinded by a lilac light. I look around the room and spot lilac flames dancing above, substituting the normal bulbs' light.
I hear the padding again, in front of me by a table. I walk to the sound and stop when I feel the brush of hair beside me. I frown at the table, for there is a mass covered by a velvet purple cloth.
My numb fingers reach out for the cloth and lift the cloth to reveal a naked body. A dead body-resembling me. My copy lies in supine position, motionless. My heart pounds in my ears and chest as my eyes stare at my copy's wide mouth and blue energy swirling in my eyes.
"Done watching?" I hear her voice behind me.
My eyes open with a start and see darkness at first. Beads of sweat roll down my face as I breathe rapidly. My fists are clenched beside me as my heart rate races as if I've been running.
A blur of red lines appear in front of me,my eyes focus on them and I gasp as I see smoking luminescent lines around me.
My eyes scan my surroundings. I know I'm not in the lilac lighted room anymore but a dark cemented room. I feel the cold floor beneath my feet and I stand quickly. Am I still in the dream?
I walk to the smoky red lines and try to walk through them but they push me back.Strange.They are solid and tough-not resembling their visual weak nature.
What is this shit? My confused eyes look around the dark room in search of realism to prove this is a lucid dream. It's a dream.
My eyes prove me wrong when I catch a puff of red smoke in one of the brighter corners of the room. I gulp.
"W-who's there?" I whisper.
I see a small flame and the red smoke again, covering the person's face. My ears catch the sound of someone breathing out heavily, blowing out more smoke. I catch a silhouette of a woman with thick hair in the smoke. A part of my brain recognizes the hair but I'm too confused to fully register what is going on.
This feels like a lucid dream. A bad lucid dream, because it feels too real.
"W-who's there?" I ask again,my fear of the unknown surfacing in my head. It's a dream. I close my eyes and open them again, only to see her haunting face right in front of me.
"Fuck!" I shout and jump, almost falling. I'm not in a dream. This is real. It's her hair. It's her eyes. She's here in the flesh.
And I'm not entirely thrilled with her new eyes. They are not brown but red this time. I recoil from her close proximity walking away from her slightly. What the fuck is this supposed to be?
