"I'd move out of the way if I was you" Blake announces. He take a step back and suddenly leaps into the pool creating ripples around me pushing me backwards. He resurfaces and turns to face me.
"This is going to get cold real quick" I complain, the pool wasn't even heated, what sort of a rich persons house was this?
"People call me the human radiator" Blake says in a flirtatious voice. He suddenly gets closer to me, it made me feel uncomfortable.
"I should go and grab them drinks we left on the side." I say trying to escape the awkwardness. Even drunk me knew not to go near any other boys, I could never hurt Nick that bad. I slowly swim over to the steps of the pool to climb out but Blake grabs me by the wrist.
"Stay a little longer, get to know me. You won't regret it." He says, his wet blonde hair was now pressed flat against his forehead.
"I don-"
"Has anyone ever told you that you're beautiful?" Blake stares into my eyes. He was obviously drunk, unless he acted like this all of the time. If so I certainly did not want anything to do with him and neither should any other girl at this party.
"Actually, yes. Nick has." I firmly tell him. Some of my words come out sloppy from the alcohol taking over.
"A little vain are we?" He gives me a cute little chuckle before hooking his arm on my waist. A little too low. I immediately take his hand off of my hip as he gets closer.
"I have a boyfriend" I announce to him. Didn't he already know this? I told him and his friend we were taken in the cafe.
"He doesn't have to know."
I give him a concerned look, I decide not to speak to him and just wade out of the pool to climb out. I was drenched and I smelt like chlorine. I didn't bother to turn around and see the expression on his face. It didn't bother me, he was just one of them usual pigs. I had no intention of going anywhere with him anyway.
I grab a brand new bottle off the side, crack it open. I guzzle it, not even thinking about how it would effect me. I stumble around the house in search of Nick. I couldn't find him for the life of me, he was nowhere to be seen. But I found the closest thing to him and that was Luke.
"You seen Nick?" I ask as I fall into the back of Luke making him jump.
"Yeah, he's looking for you. Oh wait, speak of the mother fucking devil" Luke looks over my shoulder, I turn around and see Nick with his cane. I sprint towards him, nearly falling over as my head spins in high heels.
"Careful!" Nick says as I fall into his chest spilling a little bit of drink on his shirt as I held it.
"I missed you, where did you go?" I slur. The alcohol had really taken effect now, I felt so strange. I take another gulp of alcohol. But my stomach begins to churn.
"I was only walking around, speaking to old friends. Are you okay?" He asks me. My eyes were heavy but I managed to look up at him and stroke the back of his head feeling his black hair through my fingers.
"I'm fine" I partially lie. I wanted to stay, I was having fun.
"I can take you home if you like?" He tells me rubbing my shoulder. I once again take another swig from the bottle.
"I'm fine...I'm-" before I knew it my stomach erupted and I began to spew on Nick's shoes.
"Oh Jesus" he sighs. I could no longer hear him over my gagging but he jumped back and held back my hair instead, allowing me to empty colourful liquid from my stomach onto the floor.
I held onto a bottle of beer as Nick ushered me outside just in case I needed to vomit once again. I take a long sip of the beer in my hand to wash away the taste of vomit but Nick quickly snatches it off of me.
"Don't drink anymore. I can get you water if you want?" He asks me bending down to see if I was alright.
"I'm good"
"I'm going to call the cab now" he pulls out his phone and counts the cash in his wallet. "I'll have to look after you tonight, I don't think I have enough to get us to your house." Nick admits placing his wallet back in his pocket. He didn't seem thrilled about looking after me.
"No, I can look after myself. I don't want to ruin your fun." I tell him trying to reach for the beer in his hand, I just wanted something to stop my mouth tasting like sandpaper for a longer period of time. He quickly moves the bottle out of my reach. I couldn't help but retch once again and vomit into the nearby shrubbery.
Nick holds my hair again and taps his foot. My stomach bile didn't seem to bother him, I just don't think he would be kissing me anytime soon. I stand with him for a few more minutes trying not to gag when he's on the phone with the cab company.
He cuddles me on the steps up to the house as we sat and waited for the cab to arrive. I was shivering, I was cold and the alcohol was affecting my system more than I thought.
"I would offer you my jacket but I don't have one" he chuckles slightly and rubs my arms to try and keep me warm. My bottom lip just continues to tremble. I rested my head on him, I don't think he minded that much.
I could have sworn I fell asleep but before I knew it Nick shook me awake. I just needed to sleep this off.
"Come on, we got to go. The cabs here" he informs me trying to pull me up.
"I don't feel well" I complain, I was still soaking wet from the pool, it was cold and I just wanted to curl up in a ball and die.
Nick takes me over to the cab and I climb inside. He was still leaning on the cane. He follows me in.
"Let's get you to bed" he says stroking my wet hair. Before I knew it I was out cold in the back of the cab.
