"Can you believe it?" I ask, anger rising in my voice as I tell Fatima what happened. We're now walking to the Great Hall, our shoes clacking on the floor.

"What a prick," she says pissed off as well.

"I just don't understand! We had one chat! One!" I exclaim, stress filling my head. "I just honestly and utterly don't understand!"

"He's just such a boy," she sighs.

"No, I've meet boys and none of them are like that scum," I say dramatically. "If he causes havoc in my classes, I'm going to scream."

"Woah Emmaline, let's calm down," she says. "Yes he's a prick, but he'll get over you as soon as Potter gets everyone's attention."

"Hopefully," I sigh as we walk into the Great Hall.

"Is he just always here?" Fatima says quickly looking at me.

"Who?" I ask but then look over at the Gryffindor table to see Neville talking to Seamus Finnigan (another Gryffindor), laughing, and writing something down with their quills. "Oh, Neville?"

"Sh! He could hear you!" She says frantically and pulls my arm to direct me to our table.

"Have you ever talked to him? Like ever?" I ask her as I sit down across the table from her. None of our friends are here at the moment, so we just sit by ourselves.

"What? Yeah," she says in a high pitched voice and itches her head as she opens her books.

"Right, like I'm supposed to believe that," I say shaking my head with a grin. "You should go talk to him!"

"See, I'm actually quite stuck on the practise sheet for Transfiguration," she lies once again as she opens her practise book.

"You know who might be good at Transfiguration? Neville," I tell her, trying to make her go talk to him. I open my books to start getting this homework done.

"Actually, Herbology is his best class," she says scribbling away with her quill.

"That is terrifying how you know that," I say with a laugh as she hides behind her textbooks.

"It's common knowledge, what do you mean?" She rebuttals.

"Well that's perfect anyways because I actually have a question about our Herbology lesson today," I say grabbing my Herbology notes and making sure I left one answer blank.

"How? You're one of the best in the class!" She whisper yells and looks around.

"I don't know, just one of these concepts is really just confusing," I tell her cheekily and start to stand up.

"You better not, Chronicle," she whispers to me, anger rising in the back of her voice. Whenever she gets angry, she uses my second name.

"Oh, but I am," I say with a smirk and walk over to the Gryffindor table. I see a few people eye me as I make my way down the aisle towards Seamus and Neville. "Hey Neville?"

"Uh y-yeah?" He stutters as I stand across from him.

"I had a question about our Introduction to Herbology worksheet," I start to talk to him and then look up to see Fatima is turned around staring at me.

"Okay," he says back.

"So, you know how we're supposed to circle twelve dangerous plants in the article? Where's the twelfth?" I ask, setting the sheet down on the table so he and Seamus can see.

"It's right here: Venomous Tentacula," he reads off the sheet as he points to the sentence where it is.

"Oh silly me! I can't believe I didn't see that," I fake. Hopefully, I'm not the worst actress. "Thanks so much!"

"Yeah of course," he says with a smile.

"Oh, actually, my friend over there: Fatima Dellagore, was a bit confused on her worksheet as well. Do you think you could go over and help her? Sorry, she's extremely lazy," I ask with the nicest smile I could give.

"Y-yeah, absolutely," he says, starting to get up and Fatima gives me the widest eyes I've ever seen and quickly turns back around. She pretends to be writing something down, but I know she's probably just doodling circles on her paper.

"Thank you so much! Sorry to steal Neville from you Seamus," I say empathizing.

"Trust me, it's no problem," Seamus says back with a chuckle and Neville gives him eyes which makes me smile. Nice to know they're human as well.

"Okay, she's just right over here," I explain as I walk with him a few steps over to our table.

"Yeah, I recognised her," he says back which makes me smile.

"Do you know her?" I ask, intrigued.

"Yeah, we have classes together this year, and she's on the Quidditch team, right?" He asks back.

"That's Fatima," I say trying to hold back the biggest smile. We get to our table and i sit down back in my spot. "Fatima, I told Neville how you were confused on that one part of the worksheet."

"Hmm?" She asks and looks up at me nonchalantly. She then looks behind me and up at Neville with a smile. "U-um. Yeah- uh, I um actually- uh f-figured it out. Uh, yeah. B-but, um, thanks for c-coming over h-here, uh Neville, was it?" Oh God, she's a mess.

"Yeah, anytime. I'm glad you figured it out. It was nice to talk to you girls, I don't think we really know each other that well," he says with a smile.

"Yes it was! You know, we could come over and sit with you and Seamus to work on schoolwork together. And, you know, also get to know each other," I say. I'm really going out on a limb here just to get Neville to fall in love with Fatima.

"I mean, that sounds okay with me, and I don't think Seamus would have any troubles with it," Neville says shrugging and I turn around to look up at him.

"Sounds grand, we'll be right over," I say with a smile and he walks away.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Fatima whisper yells at me. "I can't believe you!"

"Come on, Fatima. I need you guys to be in love somehow! You can't just expect him to wake up one day and be in love with you!" I say, collecting all my books and papers.

"If it can happen in films, it can happen in real life," she says with a sigh. "But I guess I'll come with you. Or else I'll look like a dickhead."

"Yay!" I say with a big smile as I stand up and she gets her books together.

"Okay, I can do this," she says, standing up and letting out a big breath.

"You got it!" I say with a smile. We start to make our way over to the table when I hear something.

"Psst!" I hear behind me. I turn around to see Malfoy standing by the entrance of the room. I furrow my eyebrows and shake my head as I don't know what he wants. He motions me over to him and I look around me.
