"Emmaline! You're taking forever!" Genevieve groans as she waits for me. I can't decide what I want to wear to the first task! I need to make sure to look good. I mean, presentable.

"I don't know what to wear!" I sigh as I flop onto my bed.

"What does it matter? We're going to be with the same people we see every day," Tora says, looking up from her book.

"Unless, Miss Chronicle wants to look good for someone," Fatima says in a voice. I turn around to see her grinning at me so I roll my eyes, turn back over, and continue to be spread out on my bed.

"Shut up," I say.

"It's true, isn't it?" Genevieve says getting excited.

"No!" I say, throwing my hands up and sitting up on my bed.

"Who's the lucky lad, Em?" Fatima asks, raising her eyebrows at me.

"There is no lad," I say furrowing my eyebrows at her before looking through my clothes again. "I just want to look cute for once."

"For...?" Tora asks, joining in.

"Oh my God, you guys are wind-ups," I shake my head, focusing on my clothes.

"Just tell us who your boyfriend is, and we'll leave you alone," Fatima tells me with a wink.

"There is no guy, I don't like anyone, and I don't want to look rubbish for once," I tell them sternly. Fatima puts her hands up in defense, Genevieve scratches behind her ear, and Tora sticks her nose back in her book. "That's what I thought."

"We're gonna figure it out," Genevieve says under her breath but I hear.

"If I was allowed to hex you, best believe I would," I joke with a smile and Fatima grins, looking away from Genevieve and I.

"Whatever," Gen says back.

"But seriously, I need help with my outfit," I groan.

"Right, let me take over," Fatima says getting off her bed. She's known as the fashionista here in the dormitory. I hope she can make me look good enough for Malfoy to see- I mean, good enough to look like I didn't roll out of bed.

"Place your bets!" The weasley twins call as we walk past them towards the entrance of the first task.

"This is so exciting!" Genevieve tells us as we walk along all the other students rushing to get in.

"Tell me about it!" I say with a smile, picturing the four champions competing against crazy beasts. No one knows what it's going to be like, but I'm guessing the Champions do. As I picture the task, I can't help but think of how I'm going to have something to talk about with Malfoy. Oh God.

"And you have a great outfit too," Fatima says, turning around from in front of me and winking.

"Well, thank you," I say with a grin. I look over the outfit she planned for me: jeans, a yellow turtleneck sweater, a white headband, my Hufflepuff scarf, and my white trainers. "I'm glad I had a personal stylist to help me."

"Pleasure is all mine, anything to get you a guy," Fatima says back with a grin.

"A guy? Emmaline?" Carrington asks, joing our group with Jack.

"Who would've thought?" Jack adds.

"Oh God," I groan. "It's no one... I mean- there is no one. They're making it up."

"Yeah, the nerves are really helping your case," Tora adds with a laugh.

"Ooo, who's the lucky guy?" Jack snickers.
