"Oh my God," I sigh as I wake up, this time it's morning. It's now Thursday morning, and I've had another one of those weird Draco dreams.
"What?" I hear from across the room, Tora is standing, brushing off her robes. Right, I forgot about my roommates.
"Oh nothing, I just had a weird dream last night," I say, covering up what really happened.
"I hate those," she tells me, as she pulls her hair back into a ponytail. "Well, today's the day! The Goblet of Fire is choosing the three Triwizard Tournament champions!"
"I can't believe it's already time," I say with a smile. "I'm so excited to see who's going to represent Hogwarts."
"Fingers crossed it isn't a Slytherin," she says with a grin. I don't understand why people don't like Slytherins. It's not their fault they're sorted into that house, and I mean just because a lot of them end up in Azkaban, doesn't mean they're all bad.
"My mum would have to agree with you on that one," I say with a nod of my head. I look and see Genevieve is already gone while Fatima is still snoring. "Where's Gen?"
"Oh, she got up early this morning. Said something about making things right with someone," Tora says with a shrug. "I can't remember, I was reading. She's been acting quite strange since the whole dare situation, hasn't she?"
"Yeah, come to think of it," I say back. It is true, yesterday she was late to two classes, was up early and gone somewhere that none of us knew, and she barely talked the whole day. Not like her at all.
"Well, I'm heading to the library, got to work on my studying for Potions," Tora tells me, snapping me out of my contemplation. "See ya."
"Bye," I say and she leaves the room. I sit straight and stare at the door thinking about my dreams, Genevieve, and how strange it all is. I shake myself out of it, make my bed, and get ready for the day.

"Emmaline," Chevalier says, coming to sit next to me as I braid my hair into a side plait.
"Yes?" I ask as I finish it off with a tie.
"Well, I wanted to talk to you about something," he tells me and I look at him. He seems uneasy about something.
"What is it?" I ask trying to sound as empathetic as I can because I am a little nervous as well.
"Luke has been acting weird since Tuesday morning," he tells me. It seems like everyone is acting weird these days.
"What do you mean? Like, how is he acting?" I ask, now intrigued on what's going on.
"I can't explain it, he just seems to always be thinking about something," he explains. "To be honest he won't stop talking about you and Malfoy. He is always scribbling things down on this piece of parchment with the title: 'How to Stop Malfoy'. Weird, innit?"
Ah yes, our plan.
_____________ *flashback* ______________
"Of course I want you to! I just don't want you to feel obligated," I say with a smile.
"Alright, let's get down to business then," Luke says whipping out a piece of parchment and a quill. "We are going to make a plan on how to stop Malfoy from
bugging you.""This is not necessary, Luke," I say with a laugh.
"Oh, but it is very," he says back with a grin and I roll my eyes playfully.
"Okay, only if this makes you feel better," I say, taking a bite of a muffin.
"'Step One:'... uh, do you have any ideas?" He reads off the parchment.
"No, this was your idea," I laugh. "I also have never even known this boy before, let alone know how to stop him from annoying me."
"Alright, we'll say step one is talk back, like real witty," he says with a shrug as he writes it down.
"Got ya," I say, nodding my head and biting into the muffin again.
"Step two, ignore," he says slowly as he writes.
"Wait, so are these supposed to go in order?" I ask confused.
"Whatever you want," he looks up at me with a smile. I smile back and then look back down at my muffin. "Step three... um, seduce him?"
I choke on my spit as soon as I hear those words.
"Excuse me?" I say louder than I wanted to. "Please tell me you didn't write that last one down." All he does is laugh.
"Of course not! You would never like Malfoy like that," he says through laughs.
"Yeah, exactly," I say but for some reason I have trouble believing myself. Why? What the hell?
"I would put 'be friends with him', but I would never wish that on anyone," he continues to make himself laugh and I just crack a weak smile. "Maybe, fake friends? That would even be too rough. Actually, maybe we should scratch the whole plan because I don't want you to be too close to Malfoy... maybe he'll rub off on you. Of course he could never, you're too good of a girl to ever have that happen. But then again, it is Malfoy we're talking about."
"I'm sorry Luke, um... excuse me for a moment," the words come out of my mouth before my brain can process. I stand up and walk away from him, grabbing my books, and heading off somewhere I don't even know.
"E-Emmy?" I hear his voice become quieter as I'm further away.
The jokes, the plan, the whole thing is overwhelming. Why shouldn't I be friends with Malfoy? Why do I want to be?
I shook it off as I walked to the Muggle Studies classroom.
_____________ *present time * ____________
"Emmaline? Emmaline?" I snap back into reality as Chevalier says my name. "So, do you know why he is acting so crazy?"
"Um... I have no clue, sorry Chevalier," I lie. Why did I lie? There's no reason why I should. But, my body refuses for me to tell the truth.
"Well, at least now you have a warning. He is being odd, so if he talks to you, just know: it won't be normal," he tells me. To think about it, I've seen him in classes and in the hallways and he was always looking at me. But, for some reason I never stopped to talk to him.
"Thanks," I say with a small chuckle and I look up at him.
"No problem. If you ever seem to figure it out, please let us boys know how to stop it. It's creeping me out to be honest with you," he tells me.
"Yeah, I will," I say with a slight smile and he slides down the bench to where a few other people were sitting.
Genevieve and Luke are both acting weird and the common denominator between the two is Malfoy and I.
What a coincidence.
