"I haven't gave it much thought, but I'm ready to get back to work," Spencer says and Hotch nods getting out a file.

"We have to do the an evaluation to make sure you're okay. You know how this works," Hotch states and Spencer nods.

They go over the evaluation questions pretty fast because Spencer knows the right things to say.

"Well, that's it. I'll get this to Strauss and you're back in the BAU, Reid," Hotch says. Spencer stands up but Hotch stops him.

"Are you positive your ready to come back, Reid? I know how much it hurts to lose someone you love," Aaron says, a hint of sadness in his voice.

Reid stops and thinks for a few seconds.

"Y- Yeah. I'm okay with coming back. Can't wait for the next case," Spencer says and smiles at Hotch, leaving the office.

A few hours later, Penelope comes out of her office and says they got a case.

"Alright folks, Alabama isn't such a sweet home anymore. There is a person going around killing couples. A boyfriend and girlfriend named, Mary Klein and Oscar Marks, and another couple, Jamie Michaels and George Riles. All stabbed in the stomach between three to five times each," Penelope says, cringing.

"They used kitchen knives from the house they were in? Why not bring his own weapon?" Reid asks.

"Maybe so they don't trace it back to him, but still seems odd," Rossi says.

"Wheels up in thirty. Welcome back, Dr. Reid," Hotch smiles.

The team gets their go bags and head to the jet, getting to the police department.

"Y'all must be the FBI. I'm Sheriff Dunley," an older man says.

"I'm SSA Hotchner, this is Dr. Reid and Agent Jareau. The others are the crime scenes and M.E's. Where can we set up?" Hotch asks and the sheriff lead them to an evidence room.

"Let me know if y'all need anything we can do to help," Dunley says and Aaron thanks him.

After a while, Spencer goes to the bathroom and J.J. and Hotch are in the evidence room.

"Do you think Reid is really okay?" J.J. asks worried.

"No. Not really, but if he wants back, he can come back. Two months is the limit I set and it has been two months," Hotch says. Soon the others arrived with the information they got.

"The women did have some sexual violation with the knife postmortem. If the guy kills them, then tortures them, how could he be a sadist?" Emily says.

"You're right, he would've done it when she was alive. Do you think the husband's saw this happen and that's how he gets off?" Rossi asks.

"That makes sense, seeing as how the men where restraint to the bed," Derek says, "But the men would struggle against ropes. So how would he tie up the men?"

"Have the women do it. He could've said to the wives tie your husband up or you both die," Reid says.

"Get some rest guys. We'll deliver the profile tomorrow morning," Hotch says, standing up.

"Wait, Hotch," Spencer says, grabbing his arm. The team looks at them and Hotch nods for them to carry on.

"How, um, how did you know if you've moved on?" Spencer asks sheepishly.

"I just felt it. Are you-" Hotch begins to say but Reid just nods and walks off.

They all head to the hotel and to their hotel rooms.

Hotch is half asleep, rereading the case file in case they missed something and he hears a knock on his door.

He opens it and finds Spencer stands there.

"Reid?" Hotch asks. Spencer's face shows no emotion. They stare back and forth until Spencer lip begins to quiver. Tears begin to stream down his face as he falls into Hotch, hugging him.

"I'm not okay, Hotch. I haven't been okay in a long time."
