Everyone goes their serperate ways after Hotch dismissing them.
"Hey, Aaron?" Spencer asks, getting into Aaron's car.
"Yeah?" Aaron asks.
"I was really worried. About J.J," Spencer frowns and Aaron holds his hand.
"I know you were. Luckly, they were cocky enough to think they could overpower us and they went around back," Aaron says and Spencer nods.
"Can we just hang out at your place? I know Jack's at Jessica's since you didn't have your wedding," Spencer asks and Aaron thinks.
"Yeah. We can do that," Aaron smiles and heads to Spencer's apartment.
"Why are we going to my apartment?"
"I figured if were going to be going back and forth, you might wanna get some clothes and stuff you might want. I can clear a drawer for you at my place for your stuff, you know?" Aaron says, "If that's okay with you. You don't have to."
"No, I do. I really like that idea, Aaron," Spencer smiles.
Spencer and Aaron get to his apartment and begin a bag for Spencer to bring to Aaron's.
"Hey, how long do you have to wait to tell Jack? First, you were getting married to a woman, now, you're dating a guy," Spencer says and Aaron looks at him.
"Well, we only started dating about 24 hours ago, honey, so I don't know. We'll ease our way into it, plus he already loves you, you're his favorite," Aaron smiles and Spencer nods.
"Don't worry, okay?" Aaron assures, noticing Spencer's anxious look.
"What if he doesn't approve? That could make or break our relationship," Spencer asks, nervously folding his pajamas.
"What? Don't be ridiculous, Spencer, Jack wouldn't care. One of his friends have lesbian moms and he approves them," Aaron sighs.
"But it's different, you're his dad, not his friend's moms," Spencer flops on his bed and Aaron sits next to him.
"I don't want to tell him yet. Not because I don't think he'll agree, because I don't know if I'm ready yet. You understand, Spencer," Aaron says and Spencer nods.
"Of course I do."
"Then let's enjoy it while we can and not have anyone interfering," Aaron kisses Spencer's forehead.
Spencer mumbles, "Okay," and blushes at Aaron's affection.
They head down to Aaron's car and make their way to his house.
"Ah, home at last," Aaron sighs and takes Spencer's bag up to his room.
Spencer makes himself at home in the living room, waiting for Aaron.
"Okay, you're bag is up there and we can go ahead and watch a movie or something," Aaron smiles and Spencer nods.
"Let's."
Aaron turns on the TV, sitting down, and Spencer immediatly wraps his arms around Aaron's waist.
Aaron blushes, putting his hand on Spencer's head, ruffling his hair causing Spencer to smile.
Aaron scrolls through the movie choices and looks down to see Spencer asleep on his thigh.
Aaron quietly laughs and puts on a movie, turning down the volume.
Sleep takes over Aaron and he falls asleep as well.
---
Hours later, it's pitch black outside and Aaron jolts awake from falling in a dream."Woah, calm down, Aaron," Spencer says sitting up.
"Sorry, Spencer. How long have you been awake?" Aaron says, yawning.
"Not long, about five minutes," Spencer says and streches.
"What time is it?"
"Um, 10:30," Spencer sighs.
"How did we sleep for so long?" Aaron laughs and Spencer shrugs.
"Hey, let's go get some ice cream. Please?" Spencer asks.
"We didn't even have dinner yet, Honey," Aaron smiles and Spencer pouts.
"Please?"
"Fine, get our jackets, please, and I'll get the car keys," Aaron stands up along with Spencer.
"We don't need to drive, there's one two minutes away," Spencer smiles, putting on his shoes and jacket.
"Okay," Aaron says, grabbing his shoes and jacket as well.
The begin their walk to the ice cream place making little conversation on the way.
"What? Who hates sprinkles?" Spencer laughs and Hotch laughs.
"I do! They aren't even tastable, and if you do taste them, they are way sweet," Aaron smiles until a white van pulls up beside them.
"You fellas got any spare change?" The guy asks.
"No, sorry," Hotch says, putting his hand protectivly on Spencer's back, rushing them. The street is dark and no-one is around.
"That's where I have a problem," the man pulls out a gun and two men get out of the van, "I need you to hop in the van for me fellas."
"Look, we don't want any trouble. Just let us be on our way," Hotch says sternly and Spencer protectively stands behind Aaron.
"Spencer, run!" Hotch whispers and Spencer books it in the direction they were headed.
The driver fires shots at Spencer but misses each one.
Meanwhile, one of the men swings a punch at Hotch and he blocks it punching him in the stomach.
Hotch isn't fast enough to block the second man and gets punched in the jaw.
Hotch grunts and impulsively touches his jaw. The first man gets up and grabs Hotch by the shoulders, kneeing him in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him.
"One last blow and then put him in the back, the other one is getting away," the driver shouts.
"You heard him, let's finish him off," the first guy smiles and they kick Hotch, giving him bruises up and down his legs and abdomen.
"I said one last blow you, idiots!" The driver shouts.
Hotch's vision gets darker by the seconds as he feels his body drifting away into sleep. He attempts to fight it but fails as soon as he hits the bed of the van.
