Chapter 19-Desperate

After that night, days just passed like normal and Haneul tried to be normal around Tal Tal. Even though, it's hard to forget the event that night. While Tal Tal often tried to ask Haneul because of her weird behavior, but she always avoided it and changed the topic. After around three months, Haneul and Tal Tal are ordered to take care of the rebels in the border again, because there are rumors that the rebels already building their army and their leader General Wang survived the last battle three months ago.

Skip into right in the battlefield where Tal Tal and Haneul are cornered

Tal Tal fights with General Wang Yeon, but he is losing and his stomach is wounded because the arrow shot before. The fight goes on, and Tal Tal is cornered, General Wang slashes Tal Tal's leg with his sword. Tal Tal fell down on his knees and he was thinking, is it the time when I'm going to die..?

"Finally, Tal Tal I can kill you with my own hands. General Wang started to laugh when he knew his enemy's life is in his hand.

General Wang starts swinging his sword towards Tal Tal's neck.

"STOP!! You must kill me first!!"

Haneul used her body as a shield protecting Tal Tal that injured behind her back.

"Well, who is this? Isn't this Haneul? General Wang lifts up her chin to face him.

"Why you choose to protect him? You know, even you already betray us, I still can spare your life if you just give him to me."

Haneul spit to General Wang's face and glared at him.

"Never, I'll rather die protecting the one that I love!"

"How brave, sacrificing yourself for him? Then I'll gladly grant your wish!" General Wang smirked while stabbing Haneul's chest with his sword.

Tal Tal was very furious and he tried to get up, but his body also wounded badly. His stomach was bleeding after he got shot by the enemy's arrow before and his leg was also bleeding. So, he fell immediately.

General Wang placed his sword in Tal Tal's neck and said, "Don't worry you'll join her soon."

Suddenly, a rain of arrows starts firing at Commander Wang and his soldiers. Many of his soldiers get shot and even himself got shot in his shoulder.

"General, we must leave!! The reinforcement has arrived."

General Wang grit his teeth and glared at Tal Tal, "This time, you're lucky."

General Wang hopped on his horse and ride away leaving Tal Tal and Haneul behind. Tal Tal tried to move towards Haneul's body.

"Haneul, Haneul ah!!" Tal Tal hugged her wounded body tightly.

"Sabonim..."Haneul looked at Tal Tal's eyes.

Don't die, don't you dare die!!! Tal Tal started to cry

"Thank you," tears start flowing from her eyes.

"You, Little fool. Why didn't you cry out"

"It was nice, just the two of us. I hoped I died in your arms. I got my wish."

"Haneul, hang on.I'll save you, the reinforcements will come soon, just stay with me!!" Tal Tal started to feel frustrated.

Haneul raised her hand and rub Tal Tal's face.

"Sabonim think of me now and then.."

"Don't die stay with me..please"Tal Tal started to beg. "I'll save you just stay with me"

"No tears. Not for me, Sabonim. Just...rembember this even I died, my heart will always stay forever with you. Thank you for everything..."

Haneul stopped talking and her hand fell down.

"Haneul, wake up!!!!! Stay with me!!! Wake up!!!!ARRGGHHH"
