Chapter 21- News

Baek Ahn is very worried, Tal Tal hasn't come back yet. He suddenly heard horse footsteps coming closer.

"Tal Tal, is that you?"

Commander Jadan helped him get off his horse.

"Sir, General Tal Tal, and Lady Haneul have been wounded badly. I must bring them to be treated."

"What are you doing then? Get him treated!" Baek Ahn ordered Jadan.

Jadan nodded and quickly takes Tal Tal to get treated by the physician. He is badly wounded and he lost a lot of blood, but luckily all his wound isn't vital so his life can be saved. The next day, he woke up and tried to get up. The physician that saw that hurriedly said," Sir! You mustn't move around, I've just treated your wound."

Tal Tal grabs his collar and said," How is she?!"

The physician startled and said," Calm down, Sir. She is doing just fine. She is resting in her room and I already treated her wound. Luckily the sword stab is not too deep and it misses her heart. So, her life can be saved."

Tal Tal nodded and said, "Good, now move. I wanted to see her."

The physician has no other choice than letting him leave because he is the general. He can't dare to disobey his order. Tal Tal hurried his way to her room even though his legs haven't fully healed yet and he needs to drag them. His whole body is aching in so much pain especially his legs that got sliced by Wang Yeon's sword. He opened her room's door and saw her whole upper body is getting covered up. His heart aches when he saw her like this. He can saw from her face that she is clenching out of pain. He held Haneul's hand and said, "Haneul, please get better soon alright. I'm really sorry I make you like this. So, please wake up and get better soon."

Tal Tal held her hand and stayed with her all night. He continues to stay by her side while Haneul laying unconsciously in her bed. A week later, Haneul was awake, she was surprised to see her Sabonim held her hand. Her Sabonim's sleeping face and the warmth of the hand that held hers make her smiled because she knew that her Sabonim really cares for her.

"You awake?" Tal Tal asked," Finally." Tal Tal said while holding her hand tightly.

"I'm fine,Sabonim. Don't worry about me." She smiled trying to hide her pain from the stab wound.

"You need to eat. Bring the food and water here!" Tal Tal ordered one of his men.

"Yes, Sir!"

When the food arrives, Haneul tried to eat, but she suddenly felt so dizzy and her stomach isn't feeling good.

"Urrgh..."

"Are you okay?"

Tal Tal took the empty bowl in the food's tray and give it to her. Haneul threw up at the bowl. Tal Tal grabs her hand and started checking her pulse. He senses a second faint pulse from her wrist. He was confused usually the second faint pulse only can be detected in pregnant women.

"Get me, the physician!" Tal Tal ordered his men.

"Do you..? Tal Tal stopped in the middle of his question. 'She can't be pregnant, isn't she? It can't be...'

"Do your stomach hurt?" Tal Tal asked changing his question.

"I don't know, Sabonim. My head feels dizzy and my stomach is feeling unwell. These days even in the battle, I felt that I wanted to constantly threw up every morning."

Suddenly the door is opened and the physician opened the door"Sir, did you call for me?" The physician asked.

"Examine her, I think there are some problems in her stomach." Tal Tal ordered.
