Bakugo POV
I had been visiting Kiri every day after school. He's been getting better and had been recovering faster than the doctors thought. He should be getting out soon, hopefully, he'll be back in class by next week or at least back in the dorms. I miss having him around, everyone is always so quiet and it's kinda dull without him. I miss him coming into my room to study or for help with his homework. I walked into class, Monday morning. I had an appointment with Recovery Girl later to decide when I can get back to training. Everyone had gotten used to my hearing by now, things have kinda gone back to normal, all that's missing is him.
I noticed stupid Deku turn to look at the door and smile. Why? I turn towards the door and see Kiri walking in. I can tell he's struggleing and in pain even with the crutches so I rush over to help. Mina of course taking this oprotunity to take a million pictures of 'her new favourite couple'. Most of the class was just shocked to see this side of me, usually only reserved for Kiri's eyes. I help him to his seat where he signs, "surprise!". This is when I'm glad for sign language. "I love you shitty hair" I sign back earning a blushing smile from him.
The bell rang signaling the end of class and the start of lunch. Recovery Girl told me if I didn't want to wait until the end of the day I could go see her at lunch. We had hero training this afternoon and I've been waiting to get the all clear so I could get back to training. If I'm going to be the number one hero I can't let something as stupid as going deaf get in the way. Kiri came with me so we could spend some time together outside the hospital after this long. We got to her office and she got to work on the check up.
20 minutes later I left with a signed note permitting me to continue hero training as long as I don't push myself too hard. I can finally get back to training, back on track to becoming the number one hero.
