Quiet (Deaf Bakugo/Kiribaku)

Baku POV

How was I supposed to tell them? Do I just tell them how it is? Do I hint at it until someone asks? Do I write it down? No, these are my friends, I can tell them. The whole time I was with Kiri I thought about what I would say. At 2:45 a nurse came in to take Kiri for tests which was my cue to leave and also the 15 min mark until I would have to tell them.

I went back to my room where Aizawa was waiting for me. He's pretty much spent all his time outside of class here with Kiri and I, he may not look it but he is an amazing teacher. I filled him in on the plans to have my friends here since he's been playing doorman for me. Soon enough Mina and Denki walked through the door, they looked nervous. Within seconds Sero walked in and I could tell they were curious as to what I had to tell them. 

"Sooo...What's up? It's been a while", Mina said followed by Dunce face quoting some meme or vine, he talked to fast and was turned away so I couldn't read his lips. I guess that hinted at it when I didn't react. "You're not going to make fun of him? Who are you and what have you done with the Bakugo we know and love?" Sero questioned. Since I couldn't even hear myself, I wanted to make sure I said this right so I picked up my phone and texted the group chat.

Baku: I can't hear you

"What do you mean you can't hear us?" I watched as Mina's head shot up and her expression dropped, the look she was giving me, you'd think I'd just killed her puppy. 

Baku: We don't know if this is permenent or temporary but I kinda expected this with my quirk. I wanted to tell you guys before I came back to class on monday, and also, could you guys help me tell the rest of the class?

Mina: Wait so you knew this would happen?

Baku: My hearing has been getting worse since I first got my quirk, I had to go deaf eventually

That was the first time I actually said that I was deaf to another person. It feels weird.

Mina: So wait, do you like know sign laguage?

Denki: Sign language? Isn't that like, road signs? Like what they mean?

Sero: No kami

Baku: Pay attention Dunce face cause I'm only going to explain this once, sign language is when you talk with your hands. Not road signs. But yes, I do know most of what I need to know

Mina: *Mina liked a message*

Denki: OHHH I get it now!

Baku: Do you?

Mina: So, how are you going to "listen" in class? Like, Aizawa will have to turn around at some point and it would be hard to just read our teachers lips all day

Baku: Well Mic. and Aizawa both know sign, I don't know about the rest

Mina turned towards Aizawa and said something I couldn't understand. She said something else soon after followed by a text

Mina: Look at Aizawa

Sure enough Aizawa was translating what she had said, he really is the best teacher at U.A.
