What's Wrong With Me? - ZADR Fanfic

- How it all Started -

( I slightly re-wrote a bunch of sections because they were really bad, but I didn't want to change too much. Writing sucks at first, but it progressively gets better, I promise. Feel free to make fun of it.)

Early in the morning, around 7:30 A.M. Dib is getting dressed and getting ready to go to school, A bit excited since he will be able to see Zim once again. Dib blushes a bit at the thought of him. Shaking his head and telling himself "No! Snap out of it Dib..!" Slapping himself across the face. Dib stands still with his eyes closed and does a small sigh and finally gets out of his room to the downstairs. Gaz, who was already awake, was in the kitchen playing on her game slave 2 while eating her breakfast.

"Hey Gaz." Dib waves to his sister.

Gaz grunts and waves back getting back to playing quickly.

Dib sits down at the table where his breakfast was already set, he eats his food while reading articles of the paranormal on his phone. After a while of reading, and being close to finishing his breakfast, he checks the time telling Gaz that they should leave soon. Gaz nods and walks over to the door and goes outside where she (nearly) patiently waits for her brother. Once Dib has finally finished getting his shoes on and putting the dishes away, he goes outside and starts to walk to school with Gaz while rambling about what he had just read. His sister being clearly annoyed, yet she still listens.

They arrive at school early giving them some time to hangout. Gaz goes to sit on the school steps with a new friend she recently made and begins to play games with her. Dib, stayed behind. He hadn't really had anyone to hang out with since nearly the whole thought he was crazy insane and ignored him. Things never changed for him, and they probably never will. Not that he cares that much. On the other hand, he noticed Zim sitting underneath a tree asleep. He decided to walk over to Zim looking at him for a bit before finally deciding to speak.

"Uh, Zim..?" Neiling down and shoving Zim softly to wake him up.

"AH- UH, WHAT?!" Zim startled jumping to his feet. To his surprise, he see's Dib standing in front of him.

"Oh.. It's just you human-Dib.." he sighed sitting back down.

"What are you doing?" Dib questioned sitting down next to Zim.

"What does it look like I was doing? I was taking a tiny nap- wait a second.." Zim paused, looking over to Dib who was now right beside him.

"Why are you talking to Zim?!" Looking and sounding puzzled.

Dib blushes a bit. "Uh- I just... Just wanted to see how you were doing..?" Zim looking surprised at the humans words. 'Worried about zim?? WHY?!' Zim thought to himself still looking and staring at the boy.

'Was that weird? I mean, of course it was. He's my rival for crying out loud...'

Dib sheepishly smiles to Zim, making them both feel uncomfortable. But before anything could get any weirder, The school bell rings, breaking the silence. The two boys get up walking side by side into school, still staying quiet. They just so happen to have the same first period.
Once they got to class, the teacher allowed the students to speak to one another until the second bell rang. Zim sat in his seat pouting at how much he hated school, putting his head down on the desk instead of talking to anyone. Dib looks over to Zim staring at him with his head in his left hand. Zim couldn't shake off the feeling of being looked at, and looked over to Dib after lifting up his head looking around suspiciously.
Dib panicked and looked away quickly cupping his face with his hands to cover his blushing face.

Zim, confused, looked away slowly to the teacher who was speaking.

After the lesson had finally finished, Dib started packing his stuff. He grabs his note book and leans over in his seat to put it in his backpack. Zim walks over to him and Dib pauses when he noticed a pair of black boots aproach him. He already feels his face heating up slightly and looks up slowly to see Zim looking at him with his hands on his hips.
