Author: Pope Francis
Publication Date: 2013
While there is much here one might find familiar - if they've read Catholic philosophy or any other publications on Christian living - there is a lot of insightful wisdom which still rings very true. Whatever vague apprehensions I might have as a Catholic myself regarding the sometimes-idol-like reverence accorded to the Pope, he really is a very intelligent, uncompromising and invigorating voice for modern Catholicism. In one of his first exhortations as Pope, he turns his attention to modern day evangelists worldwide with much to say on how to exalt in the good news of the Gospel, how not to misappropriate or misrepresent the word of God for political purposes, how to serve God more effectively as a global community and much more.
Again, much familiar ground, but what is said is very important, and well said indeed.
