The Blind Dates

Chapter 4

Today is rather a gloomy day, I exercise and follow my daily morning routine. I check my mails, reply to the important ones and read the news.

"Nia, do we have any meetings today? And what happened about the new branch we were opening in China?"
"Today we don't have a meeting but I scheduled an interview for you tomorrow regarding the Forbes award. Also the new branch is all set to open now."
"Okay, then see you at the office."

*ping*

*Yes I want to take it forward*
*Your date has been set for tomorrow at the Sky Plaza Hotel*

Nia is already waiting by the main entrance if the office when I reach.
"Morning Lisa."
"Morning Nia, what do we have today?"
"Today is a free day nothing much, you will just have to go to the dress trial for tomorrow's interview."
"By the way where is the interview?"
"The Sky Plaza Hotel and you are being interviewed by the most handsome anchor, girls are all over him these days."

That's strange, firstly it was my cafe and now it's the place where I have an interview.

"What happened, are you fine Lisa?"
"Huh, I am fine. Let's go then."
"Which designer do want to go with?"
"I want to wear something formal and comfortable, so not a dress but a nice pencil skirt and blazers will do."
"Okay then that's decided"

We stop by multiple malls and by 6 in the evening we are done with the shopping.

"Nia, let's go out for a nice dinner, my treat"
"Okay"

We go to Cafe Noir, the best thing about this place is its red wine you will never get to taste something that good in other places.

"So I went for a blind date yesterday and it was a disaster, can you believe he chewed with his mouth open, I can't even think of anything else about that ,an except for this"
"WHAT and you are telling me this now? Where did you go and what all did you talk about?"

"Firstly the date was set by the online app and secondly it was set at Bubble Tea Factory Cafe and thirdly Alex the manager of the main cafe ruined it by telling John I am the owner of the company, because of which John was awkward during the whole date and did not speak much and I don't think so I'll be meeting him again."
"Since when did you start app dating?"
"After the award function I had a very strange feeling like I was still empty once that I had achieved my goal, and at night I got a notification of this blind dating app, so I thought why not give it a try. So since then I went for one blind date, which was horrible" I smile awkwardly.

After I reach home I freshen up, complete my night skin care routine, when my phone starts beeping.

*phone ringing*
The caller ID displayed was of Noah
"So you finally got time to call your friend?"
"Lisa, I was just busy doing things you know how the gallery work is, being an artist is not so easy and also how was your date?"
"Don't even ask it was horrible."

I tell Noah about the whole date and all I can hear from his end is loud laughter, he kept mocking and teasing me the whole time about the date I had. We talk for almost 2 hours.

"Okay then Noahi have an interview tomorrow, will talk to you tomorrow then, bye, night"
"Ya bye, best if luck take care, see you"
