The Blind Dates

Chapter 7

I don't realise the time passing when I hear a knock.

*knock*

"Lisa you awake?" Noah asks after the knock.
I don't know what to speak, I mean it's an easy question but I'm having a hard time to even open my mouth to answer. I clear my throat and drink a little water. Then I go to open the door.

"Hey morning you up so early today?" I speak awkwardly I guess.
Noah comes to give me a side hug and I am all weirded out by it.

"Have you seen the time Lisa, it's already 9 in the morning, so I should say you sleeping in today?" Noah laughs.
"Uh, I didn't realise, you want breakfast I'll make it."
"No I made it already, I made your favourite omelette toasts and sweet lime juice." He smiles.

I guess it's probably my first time noticing that Noah does look very handsome with those curls. No no I shouldn't be thinking all these.

"I'll take a shower and come first, you can be eating till then."
"Umm sure." Noah looks at me confused.

I lock myself in the washroom and now I don't know how I should go out and face Noah again. I guess I'll just have to act like nothing happened but then it happened. Why am I thinking so much???? It must be someone else he was thinking about I guess, I cannot focus, why is this happening with me.

I brush and try to take the longest shower I can to avoid Noah. But it still feels like everything is going on so fast.

I go to the dining area and see that Noah has left an note.

"Hey Lisa, work calls, will see you tonight. Might have to stay here a few days cuz my apartment is under construction. See Ya Noah."

Omg nooooooooooooo.
How do I tell him he can't stay here. What should I do?

*phone ringing*

I see the number and immediately recognise it, it's Pete's number. Just when I was having a bad day, this one calls me.

"Hello." I say.
"Hey Lizzzzz, what's up? So when are we meeting? Have you decided on a place yet? Also what will you wear, you know I just want use to coordinate our dress up, if it's fine by you? Oh oh and also do you love teddy bears, because I already bought you one." Pete speaks in one breath.
"Hey Pete. Firstly you can decide the place I have no problem with it. Secondly, I don't know what I'll wear. Thirdly, I don't like teddies, so please return it. And lastly I am a little busy so let's meet up in the evening. See you." I cut the call.

Why is my life so upside down now , before the awards everything was fine. Before I realise there are tears all over my cheeks. I feel like I am losing everything I once had, everything that made me happy is gone. Everything is complicated.

I reach to my phone and call Nia. Nia has been a good support system to me since the past 2 years. I met her two years back in Paris where she lived with her five brothers. They were financially not stable, but if she would not be near the docks that day I would have lost my life, I would never get to live my dreams.

"Hello Lisa. I thought you were taking some days off and don't worry I have been handling the offices pretty well, plus we got a new franchise contract. Hello? Hello Lisa? Is everything fine? You are scaring me. Speak something"

I try to get myself together and talk but a very cracked voice comes out of my mouth. "He- -llo Nia."

"Are you crying? Is everything fine? Did something happen?" Nia asks in a panicked tone.
"I just miss my mom today. I wish she could be here." I sob.

"Lisa, she is in a happy place and she is proud of you. Also I'm coming over let's have a girls day out. Okay?" Nia Alaska's with concern in her voice.
"I have a blind date today and he is so talkative, but I'll give it a try."
"You, this is your third blind date already and you are crying, your eyes will swell nicely, stop crying and get ready. Where are you planning to go ?" Nia asks.
"I let Pete plan that out as I was not in the mood for that, anyways I feel a lot better after talking to you. Thank you Nia for always being there for me."

After I hang up I see a message from Pete about the date location.

*Hey Lisa. I chose the Red room as the restaurant and below is the location link see you at 5:00 PM. Can't wait to meet you.*

Where is this Red room, I'm hearing about this place for the first time, anyways it will be good to try out stuffs. I check the time and to my shock it was already 3:45 in the evening, how did I get so lazy today. I get up and start the manhunt of what to wear, after trying 5 outfits I go for a nice white bodycon and some minimalistic jewellery. I do a very light makeup, it's like a soft glam.

I leave my home at 4:30 as the Red Room is 20 minutes away from my home.

When I reach the place I see a huge crowd there, and everyone is dressed up so disgustingly as in they look like hookers, I don't judge people but then everyone was on top of each other.

"There you are Lisa, Hi." Pete comes out of the crowd.
"Hi Pete, are you sure you want to eat here??" I ask with discomfort in my tone.
"Ya let's go inside I have ordered the food and was waiting for you only."

On our way inside almost 5-6 people have already touched me and the place was very crowded and I'm very claustrophobic. This Red Room is so shady and scary. We reach to our table and I see that the food was already served.

"Lisa do you want some wine? Red or white?"
"Any is fine Pete." I look around to see so many people present there and everyone looked high. I am starting to feel scared when I see a familiar face, Noah, what is he doing here. I see him sitting alone and drinking. I feel a little comfortable seeing him around.
"Lisa, here you go."

Pete hands me a glass with red wine. I have some of the pasta Pete has ordered.

In just two bites I start feeling drowsy I look at Pete and he is smiling, I press the power button my phone two times, I can hardly keep my eyes open, I see Pete leaving his seat and coming on my seat, it's really uncomfortable but I don't have any control or power to move him. My eyes are not cooperating with me at all and everything becomes hazy.

Am I going to die? Did they kidnap me?
