you feel your smile getting bigger as you make your way to the gymnasium, you could hear the sounds of shoes squeaking across the basketball and the shouts of the basketball team who's currently practicing, and of course it's easy to pick out your boyfriend, yoongi's, voice out the most.
the two of you have been dating since your sophomore year in high school, and now you're juniors in college which makes you guys five years strong. as your relationship progressed so has yoongi's love for basketball, hence why he decided to pursue his career and also minor in sports medicine.
which brings you where you are now. as the girlfriend of the captain of the basketball team you've made it your responsibility to show up to ever practice providing the boys with a healthy amount of gatorade, water, and snacks. as well as during the games, it was also nice to gawk at your boyfriend as he played the sport he loves oh so much.
when you walked into the gym you saw the boys currently scrimmaging one another, you hardly understood the sport because every time yoongi tried to explain it to you you'd just end up zoning out because he's so handsome, but he doesn't need to know that.
suddenly a whistle is blown which signalizes that the coach wants their attention, so the team jogs to the tall bald man so they can listen to what he has to say.
"i like what i'm seeing today boys, although you're goofing off more than usual i don't mind because i know how you kids are," coach manor was a good man who wasn't so hard on the boys, he barely yelled, only when it's necessary because he coached the team to be the best they can be, which is exactly why they're making their ways to become state champs, "just reminding you guys that i set up a scrimmage this weekend to help train you guys more for states. these last couple of weeks i want you boys on your a game got it?" the team replies with a 'yes coach' before he dismisses them for a break, this is where you come in.
"hi coach! hi boys!" you flash everyone a bright smile, acknowledging them of your presence and the team instantly crowds around you, wanting a snack, "today i bought the bougie granola bars you guys love oh so much and some sliced apples, there's ice cold waters and gatorades in the cooler you guys know the deal," you start handing the snacks out one by one smiling every time they thanked you.
"y/n you are a god send, have i told you how much i love you?" taehyung, one of the boys on the team says which a loving smile which you can't help but reciprocate, "hyung don't get upset when i fall in love with your girlfriend and steal her from you," he jokes.
"fuck off taehyungie," yoongi rolls his eyes as he makes his way towards you, lifting your chin up to give you a kiss, your heart swoons, "hey pretty girl, missed you."
not wanting to seem too smitten you roll your eyes as you push yoongi's snack to his chest, he smiles because he knows how sprung you are for him, "eat up, you need as much energy as you can get," you kiss your boyfriend's cheek before he has the chance to walk away, "i missed you more yoonie."
"stay back until practice is over for me please?" your boyfriend asks and you don't even know why because you always stay back for him.
"of course baby."

"y/n!!" your friend hoseok, who's always yoongi's best friend who's also on the team, greets you at the end of practice, "hi hobi, you did great today per usual," you truly admired everyone on the team and you never failed to compliment their skills, which is why everyone loved you.
hoseok smiles, "aw shucks, you never fail to blush y/n. you're the best, honestly. hey! don't forget we're having a team outing on friday, we're going bowling."
your eyebrows raise up, "oh? i'm invited?"
"of course y/n you're apart of the team too, and we all know how much of a grump yoongi is whenever your not around," hoseok jokes which is quick to put a small smile back on your face, "but i'll catch you later okay?"
"bye hobi!" you wave and turn around to see your boyfriend walking up to you.
"guess who just got invited to the team outing on friday? i might be a bigger deal than you are now," you wrap your arms around your boyfriend's neck and greet him with a kiss, you try to pull away but yoongi pulls you in again, "not in public baby."
"you know i'm bout to fuck that ass up right? they look great in these jeans," yoongi trails his hands from your back to your ass, boldly groping it where anyone walking by can see.
"yoongi!" you push his hands off of you and he smirks, "are you hungry baby?"
"yeah but not for food," you roll your eyes as you push him away, yoongi laughs as he brings you back to him, "i'm just joking, for now, but yeah i could eat some food."
"well good because i want sushi and that's where we're going."
yoongi smiles at you, "lead the way basketball babe."
