Donut's POV
I sat down at a chair in front of Barf Bag's cell.
"...Why did you do this?" That was all I could really think to ask her.
"I-I... Donut..."
"I don't want excuses. Tell me why you killed all these people or I'm going to leave you here."
She struggled against her bindings. "Donut, please! Listen to me! It's not my fault!"
"What do you mean?"
She began sobbing, tears dripping down onto the floor. "S-She made me do it! She said I had to hurt at l-least four people, and say I'm the murderer, or she'd k-kill you, and Naily, and Gelatin!"
"What?"
"P-please don't hate me Donut! I couldn't let her kill you!"
"Barf Bag!" I yelled. She stopped talking, looking up at me. "Who is 'she'?"
Fries' POV
I wasn't able to sleep. My entire body still hurt from what Snowball had done, but it at least had gotten better. I looked over to the pillow on the floor that Puffball was sleeping on. Her soft snoring was comforting, in a way. It was nice to have someone there who I knew wasn't the murderer.
We had decided that we would all leave tomorrow, when it's daytime. I turned over and the bed made a loud creak. Puffball's snoring stopped.
"Hm..?" She floated up, yawning. "Oh, hey Fries. Can't sleep?"
"No, actually, I can't." I smiled a little. "Sorry if I woke you up."
"It's fine, don't worry. It might be nice to fly around the house a little bit, before everyone's up."
I squinted at the clock on the wall, barely managing to see it in the nearly pitch black bedroom. It was 2:34 AM. "Really? Seems a little early. If you're tired you can go back to sleep."
"No thanks. Why don't you come with me? If you're not tired either, we can just explore a little bit."
I smiled. "Yeah, I'd like that." I got up out of bed, and followed her out of the room, silently shutting the door behind me.
Pillow's POV
"Where were you?"
I backed up against the corner, whimpering. "I-I'm sorry!"
Tree's separated halves crawled toward me as his voice continued to echo.
"Your fault. You let me die." I buried my face in my knees.
"N-no! Stop it! Please!" I started sobbing. Something fell onto my head. The dark blue filling slid off my head as Pie's lifeless body stretched down from the ceiling, her eyes white and cold.
"You let us die, Pillow."
"No! I'M SORRY! FORGIVE ME, PLEASE!" I screamed out as Tree's cold hands grabbed my arms and pulled them away from me.
I woke up in a cold sweat, feeling tears sliding down my cheeks. I quickly wiped them away. I looked over to my side, seeing Pen's chest rise and fall in the dark next to me. I sat up and slid off the bed, taking the gag off of my mouth. I wore it because I'd been having that nightmare ever since they died. I talked in my sleep and didn't want Pen worrying. I sighed, setting it down on the bedside table and looking outside. It was pitch black out, though with plenty of stars in sight. My guess would be around two or three in the morning.
I slowly left the room, careful to be quiet and gently shut the door.
Fanny's POV
I couldn't sleep at all. I knew that Lightning was Snowball's last friend on the team. And now he was stuck with me. And I felt the same way. Bubble was my only friend on the team, and now I'm stuck with him.
Which maybe isn't such a bad thing...
I shook my head and looked up at the bed, sighing.
"What is it, Fanny?" I jumped, startled, an hit my head on the floor.
"Ow! W-why aren't you asleep!" I sputtered.
He laughed a little bit. "Well, why aren't you?"
"I mean I- I just... I can't sleep."
"Neither can I. Are you not tired?"
"Well I am, but..." I looked away, even though I knew he couldn't see my face in the dark. "I'm just... scared..."
"Scared of what?"
"I mean, my friend died! And so did yours! Why aren't you sad at all?"
He was silent.
"Don't judge how I choose to deal with these kinds of things." He said, sounding a little angry. "We all have problems here. It's not my fault you're so sensitive."
I felt stunned. I didn't know what to say. He got up.
"I'm going for a walk." He left, shutting the door in my face as I tried to follow him and knocking me over.
I sat up silently and stood up, opening the door with my mouth and looking both ways for where Snowball had gone. I saw him and ran out.
"Snowball, wait!"
Puffball's POV
My sentence was cut off as Snowball pushed past us.
"I- Hey!" I glared at him as he walked away. Fanny ran past us, trying to catch up with him.
"Snowball wait! I'm sorry!"
"Hey, what's going on?" Fries grabbed her shoulder and she turned around, and I could see she had tears at the corners of her eyes.
"I-I messed up..." She turned back around, watching Snowball walk away, a guilty look on her face. She sighed and then shook out of Fries's grip.
"Don't touch me." She growled and pushed past us.
"I can't tell if she's angry or sad." I said.
"It's possible to be both."
"I know, it was a joke." I responded blankly. I sighed. "So, is there anywhere you want to go? This is our last night here, probably ever."
He sighed and looked away a little bit.
"I kinda want to go look at the stars."
"Let's go, then." I smiled.
"Really?"
"Yeah, of course! Hop on." I grew just enough that he could sit on top of me and then slowly flew out the door and above the mansion, getting a good view of the stars.

Wholesome chapter this time.
Mostly.
This chapter probably wasn't worth the wait, and I apologize, but the next one will be better, at least I hope it will be.
