Author's note

In case you haven't noticed I've not worked on this story in about half a year. So my memory of everything that's happened thus far is pretty foggy and I've probably forgotten some of the details. So if you notice any plotholes please point them out.

-------------------------------------------

Cake's POV

Eggy's pieces were flung everywhere, shattered eggshell sliding across the floor and yolk staining the room.

Clock looked shell-shocked, cold and distant, like he wasn't quite there. Like he couldn't understand what had just happened.

Taco started to laugh. "Damn it they all figured everything out too quickly! Lucky for me I planned ahead."

Gaty started to scream as she realized what happened and soon everyone else started to panic as well. I heard a higher pitched shriek and realized seconds later it was coming from me. My heart was racing as Taco stared down all of us with a wide eyed grin.

Only Clock remained still, staring at the shards on the ground. "...Eggy...?"

"If everything goes to plan, I should be taking my leave right about now." Taco voiced, walking to one of the large windows and hurling a chair into it several times until it shattered.

"What are you talking about, what plan?!" I yelled out.

"If I'd wanted Eggy dead long ago she'd be dead. I purposefully gave her a non-fatal attack so Clock and her would end up growing close. Clock had been ostracized and all but forgotten by his team. She was his only fried. So watching her shatter was like watching his own mind break apart. So I take it you'll understand why I have to leave right about now. He'll be a nice third party threat for all of you." Taco jumped through the window and ran off into the darkness.

I stared fearfully at Clock who had started to laugh. "Damn it, I'll kill all of you! None of you deserve to live if she didn't!"

"Clock, calm down!" I yelled at him, trying to keep him stable. Unfortunately that just drew him to me, turning to stare at me, the hands beneath his glass face suddenly starting to move before bending and shattering straight through the glass. I shielded myself from the glass shards before a sharp pain appeared at my stomach. I realized what had happened before I even looked down.

Clock had stabbed me.

My vision started to go blurry and darken, and one last desperate plea escaped my lips.

"Loser... help me..."

Balloony's POV

I banged on the door helplessly, hearing the screams of the ones trapped inside the dining room. No choice but to wonder who had been killed in there.

I was once again helpless, worthless, useless, a burden.

Just like I am to Woody, the only member left of my team.

I screamed out for help. By the time anyone came it felt like it had been forever.

Snowball and Donut entered the hallway, and Snowball looked just about ready to kill someone. He charged the door and threw it open, sending a table sliding across the floor.

I covered my mouth trying not to vomit.

Cake was dead and Gaty and Teardrop had been stabbed. Clock was the one who was doing all of this.

He was standing in front of Eraser who was shielding Bell, trembling in fear as Clock prepared to impale him with one of his hands. Snowball dashed across the room, grabbed Clock and hurled him across the room, sending him sliding against the broken window. He quickly got up and escaped through it.

"Don't protect people, you idiot." Snowball snarled at Eraser. "Anyone who tries to play hero ends up dead."

I thought about going after Clock. But I'd just end up dead. And I'd be more of a burden to Woody.

So I turned around and left.

Like a coward.
