Donut's POV
"God damn it, where is she?"
"How the Hell should I know?" Snowball leaned against the wall. "I wasn't paying attention to her either."
"Why would she just run off like that..." I thought out loud.
"Who knows. Maybe she just went back to the dining room, got bored of searching. We should head back too. Some of the groups are probably back there by now."
"Yeah, sure." I rubbed my temples, not sure what else to do. I just hope that wherever she was, she was safe.
Firey's POV
The light of the dining room was blinding after being in the dimly lit kitchen and hallway for so long. Moonlight flooded into my eyes, forcing me to flinch. The moon was very bright tonight. Coiny kept his distance from me and had his arm out, blocking Pin from coming closer. Clock stared at me with an emotion somewhere between fear and anger. They all thought I killed Leafy.
Several other groups were here already. Snowball, Donut, Fries, Bell, Puffball, Naily, Gelatin, Eraser, Gaty, Balloony, Basketball, Grassy, Woody, Eggy, Pen and Pillow... Tennis Ball and Golfball were presumably at her room.
Teardrop, Taco, Fanny, Ice Cube, Ruby, Bracelety and TV were all missing. I'd wonder where they were if I didn't have more important things to deal with.
The image of Leafy's bloody corpse flashed through my mind, and I closed my eyes, walking forward into the dining room.
Pen's POV
I watched as Firey, Coiny, Pin and Clock entered the room. But where was Leafy?
I was almost certain she had gone with him...
Then I noticed. Coiny's protective stance. Clock's angry glare.
They know something I don't.
They sat down at a table, Firey impatiently tapping his fingers against it. Cake walked in shortly after, avoiding eye contact with anyone and sitting alone.
Pillow tapped me on the shoulder. "Hey, Donut's going up." She whispered.
"Got it." I nodded, looking up at the front.
Then a gunshot echoed in from the hall.
I grabbed Pillow and pulled her under the table, rolling underneath as well, as she let out a surprised yelp.
Then a second shot. Taco and Teardrop came sprinting in, Taco jumping away from the door towards Donut as a third bullet whizzed by.
Snowball's POV
Teardrop rushed past me as Taco yelled out, "IT'S FANNY!"
Confusion rushed through my brain.
Fanny?
It couldn't be her.
My short internal conflict came to a close when she rushed in with a pistol, turning for a second and firing a shot at Taco. I charged and tackled her, slamming her head against the wall. She collapsed to the ground.
I could have killed her...
But some part of me forced me to hold back. Despite all that's happened... she's tried to be my friend.
I didn't know why she did this, but I couldn't kill her just like that.
I grabbed the pistol, propping her up against the wall. I threw the pistol across the room where it landed at Donut's feet, then picking her up and taking her down to the basement, not knowing what else to do.
