Classic moved quietly along the forest, his gaze shifting between the branches. Two birds hovered over head as they chirped loudly. The sound was a rhythm to his ears. It was all he had being isolated from people. Even so, he had been able to learn more about his magic. His family was known for their connection to the wilderness. Almost a week ago he had learned he could speak to the animals, hence the two birds currently following him.

He moved at a slower pace when he felt a shiver trail his body. Having been walking for days straight without rest, it had left serious repercussions on his body. His limbs were weak and a slight fever had kicked up. The two hovering nearby seemed to sense Classic's lack of energy.

"Little one, shouldn't you rest? You've been at this for days without anything to eat beside wild berries!" Classic glanced at the raven, a small smile fluttering over his features.

"I can't, not yet. This area isn't safe. Once I reach somewhere that is protected, I will let myself sleep." There was a long silence as the lighter bird glanced toward the Raven.

"We will not alter his mind. Let him be. Even if he carries on, he is no longer alone. We are here to protect him." The raven nodded before they both hopped down from the branches. They landed gracefully on Classic's shoulders as they cuddled into the fur lining his hood. A short chuckle escaped Classic as he continued onward, unaware of the prying eyes.

Classic had made it a few more hours before the fever caught up. He felt weaker than before, his body overwhelmed in heat. The birds had pleaded he rest, which he obliged. The moment he sat down, he felt exhaustion pass through him. His eyelids felt heavy as he leaned against the trees trunk. His breathing was calm as he began to drift into sleep. The serenity had lasted for only seconds before rough voice snapped Classic awake.

He turned toward the voice, footsteps approaching. His heart sank when gold armor came into view. Multiple men carried swords attached to their hips, wicked grins plastered to their expressions. Classic felt uneasy as he rose to his feet. He turned to leave but froze when a hand reached toward him. The hand gripped his wrist tightly before he was spun around and shoved against the tree. Panic and fear swirled throughout Classic as he tried to push the tall male off him.

"What do we have here men? Some cute little bird lost in the woods. What brings you to these parts?" Silence followed the questions as Classic continued struggling. He was weak and losing strength quickly. The two birds had escaped to the branches once more, the raven taking off in a random direction. The sight brought tears to Classic as he felt a sense of betrayal. Had they abandoned him?

"Is it mute?" Another male spoke up loudly. "Is it a she or he?"

"Well, that is a wonderful question. Shall we find out?" Everything hit Classic hard as he understood the situation. It forced him to act out more. His hand met the main soldiers helmet, the metal bouncing off his head. He stumbled away from Classic before he took the chance to escape. He turned and sped off, the footsteps following close behind.

The feeling of hands grabbing his cloak forced the air from his lungs. His body was forced backwards as his back hit the ground. Legs straddled him as laughing was echoing from behind. Tears fell to the dry soil as the soldier struggled to pin Classic's arms. He fought best he could, but still lost in the end. His wrists were shoved into the soil as a free hand wandered above Classic. He bit into his lip before sucking in a deep breath.

"HEL..." Before the word could finish, a hand shot over his mouth. Narrowing his sockets, he shifted his jaw before the soldiers hand fell slightly into his mouth. Biting down, Classic could taste the metallic substance oozing into his mouth. It was revolting. The soldier let out a blood curdling scream as his hand released Classic's wrist. He rose his free hand to strike, but Classic moved first. He bit down harder, the males pinky bone cracking as the finger fell from the hand. Blood gushed out as the others stared in horror. Classic took the opportunity, his knee rising and meeting with the males regions. He let out a whine as he fell off Classic. Crawling away from the crumpled stranger, he watched as anger grew in the other soldiers.
