Killer had been the first to enter the castle. The moment the doors opened, he shot past Error, confusion spread along the skeleton's face. He wanted to speak until his gaze fell on Horror. Sorrow had dyed his expression entirely as he shook his head toward Error. Sighing, he turned to watch Killer's back vanish down the long hallway. Horror followed not long after, leaving Error by the door alone.
Horror had arrived at Killer's room to find his friend stressing over the child. It broke his heart. He wanted to help, but neither of them knew anything about first aid. The only people who did were either traveling or had been the ruler of the kingdom. Killer wanted to ask Nightmare for help, but he feared the other outcome to seeking aid. The king was known for being heartless.
"Killer, you need to calm down and think rationally. We have no one to look to, so lets work together. Tell me what you need!" A long silence followed before Killer turned toward Horror. A soft smile formed over his mouth as he gave a grateful look.
"You're right. I don't know much about first aid, but I know we need bandages and some alcohol rub. I want to clean the wounds and wash the blood off." Horror nodded as he turned to leave silently, Killer crouched beside the bed. He observed the smaller frame moving slightly, a pained expression flashing over their face every so often. The sight left Killer broken. If only he had arrived earlier.
He rose from the floor before carefully reaching for the cloak. Dirt stained the fabric, spots of blood scattered along the ocean blue color of the cloak. Unclipping the pin holding it together, he allowed the fabric to fall to the bed. A long blue gown ran down the length of the skeleton's body, the blue similar to the morning sky. The colors matched Classic to perfection. Carefully he pulled the fabric from his shoulders, the top part falling to Classic's hips as Killer pulled him into a sitting position. He found his eyes wandering over cracks trailing one of Classic's arms. Biting against his finger, he pushed away the rage that built up in him.
"I'm back and found someone else willing to help us." Horror's voice drew Killer's gaze as he turned to find Error in the doorway. His eyes wandered to the kid before he frowned.
"Who would do something like that to a kid?" Killer fell silent as he glanced at Horror. They had killed three of Dream's men and feared the punishment. Horror could tell Killer was willing to lie, so he spoke up.
"Dream's men wandered into the forest where the kid had been. How he got into Nightmare's territory, I don't know. Nonetheless, the kid put up quite the fight. Two of the guys were seriously injured, especially the biggest guy. The kid's tough, but three on one is a huge disadvantage. I don't know what they were doing, but when we arrived the kid was almost out cold." Error nodded before he stepped into the room more. Killer felt himself bristle as he gave warning signs. The sight drew a fearful gaze as Error froze up.
"Killer, I don't want to harm him. I came to help you. Horror explained he's important to you, something like family. Since he's cool in your books, I have no issue with him. Please let me help." There was uncertainty before Killer sighed, his body slouching as he dropped to the floor. Error have a thankful gesture before he grew closer to the bed. Classic had been placed once more on the soft mattress, his clothing covering only the lower areas of him. Error spotted the cracks and the broken arm. Kneeling beside the bed, he slowly reached toward the arm before turning to Horror. "Find me something long and solid. I need to bind the arm, avoid anymore damage to it."
"Got it. I think we have padding somewhere along with boards we use for the window." Error nodded as Horror ran off, only to return minutes later. He passed the wooden boards and padding before Error focused on the arm. Gently he wrapped the cushioning around the arm before pressing the two boards on either side of the arm. Pulling at the string in his eyes, he carefully wrapped it around the wood before knotting it. Snapping the string, he gently lowered the arm.
